BOJACK Bathroom Vent Fan Motor 120V 60Hz 0.60A 30W Compatible with 686,687,8870,M686 YJF6158

I ordered and purchased 3 of these for our double-wide manufactured home, as the originals had quit working. The diameter of the fan blades on these new ones was somewhat greater than the diameter of our vent pipes in our bathrooms. However, it was fairly quick and easy to carefully trim the length of the blades down, one at a time, on my 1-inch belt grinder, and now they fit in the vent stacks. After installation they operate perfectly and quietly. These are very nice little fans for a reasonable price.

This is easy to install and works fantastic

Very easy to replace. At lot of reviews say it is to loud. I didn’t find that to be the case. We have 2 shower heads in our shower and it does struggle to keep the mirrors fog free. But it seems like 5 cfm is the standard.

Having previously purchased a competitor's .6 amp fan motor on Amazon and returned it because it made a whining sound, I am very pleased with this unit. It is of high quality and puts out a strong air current for its size, despite being only .6 amp. I used it to replace the original 2.3 amp motor in our Miami-Carey through-wall ventilator that is about 40 years old. This new motor fits perfectly in the old mounting bracket. The only negative is that the motor is a bit loud, but it is the same level or slightly quieter than the original motor. Anyway, it works well and does the job.

Quiet powerful fan; replaced original bathroom fan (50 years old); modern motor bracket mounts are narrow than old fans, but easy to install an adapter bracket (4" x 3/4" x 1/8" steel mending plate) between the original mounting bracket and the fan, by attaching the motor to the mending plate and attaching the mending plate to the original bracket; I have included a parts list (see photos); also installed a wireless remote between the fan and the plug, so that I can turn the fan on/off when needed (bathroom fan and light are on the same switch)

Fairly loud but works well

Bought the item as a replacement to my 8870-B. Pictured is the old model, you can see how dirty, dusty, and old my 8870-b was. I bought my house a year ago and had been fixing all kinds of issues, finally got around to replacing the bathroom fan that hadn't worked the entire time I've lived here. So i popped the old one out, fixed the various issues that I had (that aren't applicable to your situation), cleaned the hell out of the vent and popped this new fan in. It fit the old hole perfectly, I did have to push the blade down all the way in order to get it to fit, so further than what is shown in the video. I also had to take the bar/mount off the old fan and put it on this one in order to mount it in place correctly. I took a shower after the install and where as before my bathroom would be humid even hours later, now my bathroom is completely dry/normal within 5-10 mins after i exit the shower. I'm writing this review the same day i installed the item, but i don't foresee any issues.

I bought this as a replacement for the very old motor in my bathroom exhaust vent. The holes on the original mounting bracket lined up with the bolts on the back of the new motor. I had to trim the blade down to fit my 5.5” duct, and it worked perfectly

Compré este motor para reemplazo de extractor marca Nutone, el aspa es mucho mas grande que la original, tuve que remover la original del motor viejo y colocarla sin problema en el motor nuevo, quité el conector y pude unir sin problema los cables a los de mi casa, el motor tiene muy buena potencia, mas que el original cuando estaba nuevo.

I bought this BOJACK bathroom vent fan motor to replace a worn-out unit, and overall it does the job well. Installation was fairly straightforward and it fit perfectly with my existing setup (models 686/687/8870/M686), which was a big relief. The motor runs smoothly and noticeably improved the airflow compared to my old one. It’s reasonably quiet—not completely silent, but definitely not disruptive. Power consumption seems efficient as expected for a 30W motor. The only downside is that the build quality feels a bit average. It works fine, but it doesn’t feel as durable as some original OEM parts. Also, I wish it came with more detailed installation instructions for first-time users. Overall, a reliable and cost-effective replacement option if you're looking to get your bathroom fan back up and running without spending too much.
