I go on motorcycle trips and tent camp as often as possible. Packing space is always limited and weight is a critical consideration. This gadget is amazingly bright and lights up the tent as if it was daylight. It is bright enough that when I need to look for something outside the tent, on the bike for example, it provides more than enough light. Construction seems solid and design is versatile to where you can hang or stand it up. Cannot speak to battery life yet since I am still on the first set, which is a good thing. I probably would not use the climbing clips to hand this lantern, but they come in handy in other places. Shipping was moerse fast and packaging was solid. Thank you!

We had a recent storm warning, and I decided that we need extra light backup at home in case the power goes out. I was more than surprised when I received my 2-pack Lumiere lanterns. It shines very bright! We never had any power outages but I am so happy to have these lanterns. We used it outside on the table as a table lamp for 8 people. The second lantern worked well at the grill, providing ample light to grill our meat to perfection. My husband is especially happy with the lanterns for grilling. We highly recommend the lamps (lanterns). They are of very durable quality, and indeed the carabiner made it easy to hang. Without it you would only be able to hang it onto an open hook which is probably not always available. It also came with a key ring, which I assume will work well in a tent, feeding the key ring through a piece of cloth where the pole also feeds through and then hanging the carabiner on the key ring. I know that our tent has no hanging hooks and this would work well. I thought the second lantern would serve as a spare, but we use them both all the time: at the grill, inside the house one in my bedroom and the other in the kitchen, using them late at night instead of switching on lights. Oh and I really like how one can have less light by adjusting the opening. In the picture you can see how I put spare batteries in the top under the lid. They use three AA batteries which are not included. Value for money, I recommend the product.

The camping lanterns are just what I’ve been needing for a long time! They really do have a very bright light, ideal for any tent or camping situation. You can also determine the amount of light by shifting the top part up or down which makes it brighter or dimmer. Really neat. We made use of the very handy carabiner which was included as a free bonus. There is a hook in the tent, but the lantern’s handles were not able to catch and grip the hook, so the carabiner was the perfect solution. We didn’t use the key ring, but it is good to have in case we get to a situation where the carabiner needs the ring to hook into. I was very impressed with the quality of this lamp. Although it is made of a very hard and good quality plastic, it seems like a metal. I love the top that comes off, that’s where I immediately put 3 spare batteries (I like to be well organized!). It’s also ideal to put the carabiner in when not in use, or of course you can just leave the carabiner clipped into the handle. I recommend this lantern for every household since it is not only a camping item, but also a necessity around the house. The price is very good, considering you get not one, but two lanterns in one order, plus the carabiners. A real steal. Living in Florida with so many storms, we often have power outages and this is the perfect little powerful lantern with ample of light. We use the Lumiere lanterns on our Sailboat. It really was a lifesaver when crossing the Gulf of Mexico when our batteries on the boat failed and we had no cabin lights! I love the way they slide to control how much light to use. Super bright or softly dim. Makes a great gift, and so handy for the outdoorsman or around the house too.
