These cookies are wonderful, but they always come broken. I like them so much I bought them 3 times BUT whoever packs them for shipping tosses them in a box with no bubble wrap and the box gets tossed around like a football by post office because they handle hundreds of packages and dump them on the floor for separating in one big pile. You can blame the postal workers with hundreds of boxes to handle. If they were packed correctly by the merchant using bubble wrap, they wouldn't get broken. buy them for yourself because they are very good. Just don't plan on gift giving, you might be sorry.

I bought this item as a gift. I was so humiliated! The box itself was some what crushed. But I figured it was because it was packed with my canned chicken! I was given back the box. And told "you might want to return these"!! The box looked like they had sat in back of a warehouse somewhere for a couple of years! But the worst was inside! The cookies were all broken, discolored, from being half melted is my guess. I totally disgusting mess! Then I find out I can't return them!!??! (Expletive) I can't even feed them to the birds! Don't think they'll eat them!!

First layer was about 50% broken cookies. Flavor and texture were good, but I was very disappointed in the condition. Was going to give a tray to someone as a gift, but don't want to bias them in future purchases.

Cookies themselves were great; just ask the fat guy who cleaned out 70% of them. I was a bit embarrassed, though, because the we're for a tea party I went to & weren't in a tin, just a very flimsy box (yes, some cookies were broken).

This past Holiday season we really wanted a European feel and this product certainly helped. The quality of the contents was perfect and it did not last long as it was eaten very quickly by friends and family at our gatherings.

Thought these might be something different. Supposedly from Germany. WRONG! Pretty much the same taste/selection you can get in most tins. And they arrived with several smashed. Not surprised as the cardboard box the cookies came in was shipped in a soft envelope! AMAZON needs to ship in a BOX!
