Xyla, Xylitol Sweetener, 100 Ounce

I have recently become pre-diabetic and have been doing so much research on what I can and can't eat. I stumbled across Xylitol. YAY! It has become my new favorite sweetener, but don't use too much. It does have a laxative effect at a certain point, so you may have to play around at first to find your tolerance level.Beware of other brands that fail to mention their xylitol is derived from corn and made in China, which is NOT listed anywhere on their packaging. I have two 2.5 lb bags of the other brand, which will be going in the garbage. The laxative effect from the other brand is way worse. I will order more of this Xyla brand!! Stupid me for trying to save a buck!

I like Xyla because it allows me to have the sweetness of sugar with lower calories and the same taste. It is not super sweet like stevia and was no after taste. It is natural from birch trees this is the xylitol to use that is better for your health than processed sugar. I wish the cost was lower and you MUST keep it out of the reach of dogs. It can be fatal if consumed by your dog.

I've ordered this a few times and I just ordered a different brand. I like this product, but there are many packets in the box that don't have enough product in the packet. Some packets have a normal amount in them, enough to sweeten a cup of coffee and other packets have almost no product in them. This has happened with my last two orders and I've read other reviews about this issue as well. They need to fix their quality control. This is the reason I'm not reordering this product.

I haven't used the product yet. I assume it is good, even though I would prefer bulk rather than packets. The only reason I bought this is the price of $0.11 per ounce given by Amazon. This is *WRONG* and apparently has not been corrected for some time. The packets are NOT 1 ounce, they are 1 gram. The total weight is NOT 100 ounces, it is 100 grams. The price per ounce is NOT $0.11, it is $0.82. If you're looking for cheap xylitol, DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

The product is great. The shipping was horrible. It was shipped in a bag so the box was smashed and the packets were spilled out inside.

Love these. Very convenient to carry in purse to use away from home. Tastes just like sugar, and trust me I am very critical of off-tasting sugar alternatives. I have thrown several out after tasting them once. Only criticism is the price.

Very happy with this sweetener. I have not looked up info on how good it really is for you, but I have never been a fan of artificial sweeteners and have been told by my acupuncturist that they are "poison" to your body. Stevia is the only one he has recommended but I cannot stand the after taste. I haven't been able to ask him about this one, but I love that it does not have an after taste at all!

I love the product but was disappointed with the packaging. Crystals were falling out of the box when I picked it up off the porch. Also I had several completely empty packets and several partially filled. The individual packet are folded at the top, not sealed the the other three sides.
