Arbortech TURBOPlane Blade 100mm/4Inch Tungsten Carbide Wood Carving Disc for Angle Grinder, IND.FG.400

As with all Arbortech equipment this turbo plane is excellent well worth the money and it works out cheaper when you consider it can easily be sharpened, as with other products you dont have to buy more when they wear out, one piece of advice, if you are new to using this type of thing practice on scrap wood once you get the feel of it you will love the ease and speed that it removes wood, you MUST wear eye protection and a mask it doesnt produce a lot of dust as it doesnt grind wood off it cuts it but it does produce some, buy it practice and you wont regret it.

This thing rocks! I have a few rounds of super hard Holm oak. They were cut really badly with a chainsaw many years ago and I've been keen to work them somehow. These guys are hard as nails but the Turbo Plane had no issues with it at all. I definitely recommend using gloves, goggles, breathing mask and ear defenders as shavings and dust goes EVERYWHERE. This grinder blade is solid, in fact, it's so solid that it broke the gearing on my grinder when it bit in the endgrain. Many people say it's overpriced, I say it's totally worth it. Resharpenable and solid, I can't imagine binning this in many years.

Excellent, works very well on Festool angle grinder, having used on the Arboutech Carving tool, it’s not quite using its full potential, still a worthwhile purchase.

The quality is excellent, it’s controllable and carves away large and small amounts very easily. I installed on a Bosch variable speed small angle grinder. I would highly recommend this item and worth every penny.

Great quality

Takes a bit of practice, but you quickly get the hang of it. I am using it to shape a rocking horse and it is ideal for the rough out. Nice tool.

Easy to use, works exactly as specified in the Arbortech videos.

Absolument parfait, je ne m'attendais pas à un tel niveau de qualité et de rapidité de travail je m'en suis servie pour écorcer des bûches en chêne pour faire un lit et avec ce disque c'était aussi facile que d'eplucher une pomme

Come tutti gli articoli della Arborthec devono essere adoperati con le giuste precauzioni ed eseguono egregiamente il loro compito!! Taglio preciso nessun sfarfallio sulla mola bilanciato benissimo il peso. Il fatto che sia affilabile ne allunga di molto la vita. Sempre da usare con le giuste precauzioni e occorre imparare i vari tagli, lungo vena o perpendicolare per manovrarlo al meglio, un consiglio fare pratica su legni morbidi e non troppo filosi!

This Turbo Plane disc really hogs out the wood for carving. It is easier to use than the industrial carver by Arbortech in my opinion but I think I have to go through a learning curve with the industrial carver. I did not find a problem with catching when carving out logs. I look forward to what I can make with this disc.
