Pros: Refillable + cheapest mail odor. Neutral: Does its job. Con: Scent is too strong.
Do the pods work? Yes. Are they worth it? Depends on how much you value your time. (That's a "yes" for me.) I use the pods (and the Swash unit) for convenience to reduce the frequency of taking my shirts to get laundered and pressed or of having to launder and press them myself. This doesn’t replace washing, and I haven’t seen anything about Swash than indicates it does replace washing or even dry cleaning. It refreshes. That’s what I wanted, and that’s what I get. Cost wise, my cleaners charges a buck fifty per shirt, so I’m not even going to attempt trying to justify the cost of a Swash unit and pods. I'd have to do more than 400 shirts before I break even on the money. Once I break even, assuming the pods remain the same price, I'll save about 75 cents per shirt. For me, it’s all about convenience, and Swash and its pods do save me a lot of time and effort that's involved with actually taking my shirts to the cleaners and picking them up again. That part was worse than paying for the cleaning. As for the pods themselves, the scented pods are unnecessarily strong. When I do more than one session with my Swash using the scented pods, the unit releases acrid fumes that irritate my eyes, nose, and throat, so I have to make sure a window is open. When I did a sport coat, there was a noticeable residue left over the entire surface of the coat. Gross. I just ordered the Unscented Swash pods, so hopefully those will be less irritating and leave less residue on clothes. I also reuse pods with distilled water which totally eliminates the fumes. When I’m lazy, I’ll just plop a pod in. but most of the time, I fill in a used pod with distilled water and spray my shirts with a wrinkle release spray before I shut and start the Swash cycle. The results are the same as when I use a brand new pod. I use distilled water with nothing added because I don’t want to take a chance clogging the spray system. I assume whatever is in the pods won’t clog the spray system either, but I don’t know what it is, so I just use straight distilled water to be safe and spray the wrinkle release directly on my hanging shirt.Regarding the cost of the pods, Amazon’s price with Prime is about the same as the manufacturer’s price and Best Buy’s price after shipping costs are added. They both charge roughly six bucks. I add the pods to my Amazon Shopping Card then save it for later. That way, I can see if there’s a price drop. My Best Buy doesn't keep them in stock. Even if they were in stock locally, if I weren't going to that store anyway, I'm not going to make a special trip just for a box of pods. Overall, the pods are worth the convenience, but just too strong. Reusing the pods with distilled water works just as well — but reusing pods means you have to buy them some time, and it’s still worth it.UPDATE: The Sensitive Unscented Swash pods work great and do not have any scent. I was concerned about how well they would "refresh" shirts regarding odors, but my shirts come up scent free -- free of any perfumed scent and free of any scents from myself.UPDATE 03/01/2019 - I'm still using my Swash unit and the pods, both intact and with distilled water. I'm still happy with my purchase of the unit and the pods. I'm even happier because the price of the Swash pods on Amazon seems like they have permanently dropped to the same price as Best Buy and directly from Swash. Since those two sites charge for shipping, Amazon Prime comes out significantly cheaper now.

Easy way to avoid dry cleaning
These pods do several things, depending upon what you are after...but you need the machine. It’s a handy way to refresh or release wrinkles from shirts and other clothing.
