An easy to use Bluetooth OBD2 OBDII Car Diagnostic Scan Tool from Lolldeal
The check engine light was on in my car and I couldn't figure out why as the car is properly maintained and operates ok. I went to dealership and they showed me an expensive estimated invoice to "debug" the check engine light so I decided to investigate into this issue more by myself first and bought this Lolldeal MINI Bluetooth OBD II Car Diagnostic Scan Tool. The package includes OBD II reader and user manual. It's very simple to start using the device as all cars manufactured after 1996 have to be OBD II compliant. I had to do some research to locate the OBD II port for my car online but it's not hard as there are many information available. After inserting Lolldeal MINI Bluetooth OBD II Car Diagnostic Scan Tool into the OBD II port, a red LED lights up to indicate the unit ready. I installed recommended app OBD Car Doctor from Google play, pair with my phone through Bluetooth, and debug information is available right away.I can see a lot of data available through the app, including Engine RPM, Calculated Load Value, Coolant Temperature, Fuel System Status, Vehicle Speed, Short Term Fuel Trim, Long Term Fuel Trim, Intake Manifold Pressure, Timing Advance, Intake Air Temperature, Air Flow Rate, Absolute Throttle Position, Oxygen sensor voltages/associated short term fuel trims, Fuel System status, Fuel Pressure and most important of all, error code reporting. I got an code P0442 from the app and end up it's just a damaged gas cap. Everything works great after I replaced the gas cap and this saved me tons of $$$.I'm glad that I purchased this unit and the only thing I want to point is that this device only support Android. There is no iOS companion available yet.

If you drive a car and want piece of mind, do yourself a favor and buy one of these.
Everyone that owns an automobile should carry one of the little gadgets in their car. The one I use runs on android phones. Not sure if they are available for Apple devices. Anyway, download the Torque app from the google play store, load your vehicle's profile in the app and you're in business. There may be a nominal fee to purchase the Torque Premium app but it is well worth the cost.Just think, your family is on a road trip over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house for the holidays (uh, just pick one). All of a sudden that little annoying "check engine" light flashes up on your dash. That little light is enough to bring fear to the heart of the strongest man or woman. However, you remain calm because at the next rest area or stop for gas, you are going to whip this little baby out run your test and realize that the problem isn't serious and can wait until you get back home. You can also reset the fault codes with the Torque app to see if it returns. Now you have relieved everyone in the car and all of a sudden you are their favorite person.................until you do something stupid. The best part is that this device and the Torque app will actually look up the fault code on the web.

Worked great - no significant delay in output to Bluetooth
Used a USB ELM based unit for years but wanted to switch to USB so I could use on my cell phone. Wasn't confident in this unit but for the price I figured I would take a shot. I am impressed. Used in conjunction with Torque (freeware version) this unit works perfectly. Within seconds connected to Bluetooth on my Android and starting ripping data to Torque. I was able to check diag codes and even readiness for emissions test, which was another reason I wanted it as my DMV inspection was up and I needed to put miles on my car after an engine fix. Figured I would play around a bit so I started populating Torque with some of the performance graphs and gauges. Worked great - no significant delay in output to Bluetooth. So far I have used on a 2004 Volvo S80, a 2010 Jeep Cherokee and a 2015 Subaru Forester with no problems.

It could be better, for sure - has moments where it'll respond slowly or get confused - but the fact that I can check/clear codes from my phone for less than half of the price of an OBD-II scanner at the part store makes this more than good value for me. Very nice to be able to leave it plugged in and look around at sensor data / codes whenever I notice something, rather than having to go home and get a scanner.Using Torque Pro, which is also nice. Spits out info along with the code, not just the code itself - no more frustrated P code googling. If you're trying to do an Android based dash or something, steer clear. If you're just looking for a code scanner, this is the way to go.

Information overload?
provides more information to the suggested aps than you might ever use. Let somebody else drive while you figure it out. Still not really sure how much of a battery drain there would be on the car if you left it plugged in 100%. I don't. You WILL want a dashboard mount and a USB charger plug for your phone. At least the phone aps I was using were battery hogs. Keeping the phone plugged in took care of that problem. It was really interesting to see just how much my gas mileage improved when I was able to get non-alcohol gas in New Mexico. From 27 to 32mpg. Why do we still have to use that stuff?

Time and money saver! My old car isn't driveable and just sits in the garage because I'm too attached to get rid of it. We've been considering getting it fixed since it is so much better on gas than our other vehicles but have put it off because we haven't wanted to pay for it to be towed to a shop just to find out what is wrong and if it is even worth fixing. I ordered this and w were able to plug it in to see what's wrong right in our garage and then I just sent a screenshot to our mechanic for pricing. Genius.

Should have ordered one of these years ago
I was getting tired of reaching under the dash each time I scanned for codes, so I ordered this Bluetooth OBD2 scanner. I wish I got one of these a long time ago. Now I leave it plugged into the vehicle that I'm working on. With the Torque application on my phone, it gives me so much more information than the more expensive handheld scanner I had been using, and it's wireless!- I was able to use the fuel trim information to diagnose a vacuum leak in an intake manifold.- The temp gauge on the dash was inoperative, so I was able to monitor coolant temp using the app- I can see engine revs in the engine bay using the appThis product has already paid for itself in the time it has saved me.
