1st impression bad, 2nd chance AWESOME!!
I ordered this because it’s windy as all get out where I live & I just needed a lighter that I didn’t have to fight with to use. When I initially bought the lighter I thought it was pretty cool, it needed charged after 2 days, I considered that possibly normal. But then it started needing charged nightly & I only use it twice a day! I was not too thrilled about it, but sucked it up. Within a week of it starting that, I had to charge it EVERY time I wanted to use it… now I was more than annoyed.I reached out to the seller & told them I wanted a refund. They asked me to give them a 2nd chance & if I was still unsatisfied they would refund me immediately without any issues (which they would have done either way, but I do try to believe it giving 2nd chances).I received my replacement about a week before I ended up in the hospital, but the lighter was with me the whole time & not charged one time the entire time I was in the hospital & now I have been home for about 2 weeks & it is finally showing it only has 1 bar of power left!! This lighter managed to work for 2-3 weeks without issue or being recharged!!!I also love that they made the power slide a little more difficult to slide on & off because it’s a deterrent for children to play with it!!I am pleased as punch with the replacement thus far, but if I just jinxed everything by writing my review (it seems to happen a lot anymore… I need to just carry a piece of wood with me just to knock on when I leave reviews. Lol) I will happily reach back out to the company & work with them again!!!

Easy to use.
This works great on lighting the burners of our propane stove top. The battery last a long time and the slide and then push to light mkaes this a very safe lighter to use. It is easy to use and when you slide the power button, you can see what the charge level is. I has a safety cover to protect the elctrodes when not in use. Well mad and good value.

Perfect electric grill starter
I bought this to use as a lighter for charcoal starters, like the tumbleweeds. It is a lot safer and easier than sticking a short match that took forever to light inside a charcoal chimneyIt works great, though we'll see over time if the plastic parts hold up due to direct contact with flameI chose this over one of those oven filament starters because those are really dangerous and this is basically just a mini-tazer. Which ironically is indeed safer than an open and unguarded oven filament

*UPDATED*REVIEW*5.17.2022* I want to love it, but the lighter will not charge
UPDATED REVIEW MAY 17TH 2022As it turns out, both lighters work as advertised. After receiving my 2nd purchase of this lighter in blue this time instead of green *see newly uploaded photo*, I realized that I had not tried to charge my first lighter with the usb-c cord that came with it. I tried using multiple other usb-c cords which were all fully functional, but the fit of the usb-c cords I already had didn't fit in the charge port the same way as the included charging cable did. Basically, I should have used the included cable because it works wonderfully. Both lighters have been fully charged since I received the 2nd electric lighter on May 6th. Today, it's May 17th and both lighters have a full charge still. I would give 5 stars, but it is a slight annoyance that the lighter is only compatible with it's own USB-C charging cable........... End of Update ..........Original ReviewI love this concept. For Christmas, I gifted a couple Tesla Coil electric lighters to a loved ones and I have been itching to have an electric lighter for myself. I'm no longer a smoker, but I absolutely love candles.I purchased this lighter in green and the very first time I attempted to charge it, no light(s) came on the indicate it was charging. I wasn't too concerned and I assumed there was no charging light(s). I've tried to charge it a second time, switching cords and outlets. No luck there either... my slick new candle lighter just won't charge and it does not have enough power left to light a single candle wick. Unfortunately I can't comment on the battery life, as it arrived with minimal charge (this is not uncommon for rechargeable items - sometimes they ship with no charge to ensure the product is not firing during shipping) -- the minimal charge is certainly not the issue, but the faulty charge port is!Is this a fluke? Is this a common issue? I'll find out for myself soon enough as I just purchased one in blue... hoping that it will charge on arrival this time.If not, I guess I am out ~$20 for the two lighters.I plan to update my review when the new lighter arrives, putting an end to the "is it a fluke or is this item junk?" question.Review written on Tuesday, May 3rd 2022My second purchase of this lighter is set to arrive on Friday, May 6th 2022.Stay tuned, Amazon Review Fam!

Nice electric lighter
Seems to work like a charm. I appreciate that the slide retracts the arc and covers the button. Makes me a little less worried about my toddler getting ahold of it (it’s still out of reach obviously). It’s nice to not need lighter fluid. I also appreciate the length of it for candles that are almost gone or in a jar.

Super convenient, windproof, and way better than traditional lighters
I’ve been using this electric arc lighter for a bit now, and it’s honestly one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference. The biggest advantage is that it’s completely windproof, which makes it way more reliable than traditional lighters—especially outdoors. No more struggling to keep a flame going. The arc ignition is strong and consistent, and it lights things almost instantly. I also like the longer design since it keeps your hand at a safe distance, which is great for candles, grills, or anything harder to reach.Another big plus is that it’s rechargeable, so you don’t have to keep buying lighter fluid or disposable lighters. Charging is simple, and the battery lasts longer than I expected between charges.Build quality feels solid, and it has a nice, sleek look to it. It’s lightweight but doesn’t feel cheap. There’s also a built-in safety mechanism which is a nice touch, especially if you have it around the house.Overall, this is a much more convenient and reliable option compared to standard lighters. If you’re tired of dealing with wind or constantly replacing lighters, this is definitely worth it.

Perfect for candles
Love this. Super easy to use and way better than regular lighters. Rechargeable is a win and it works every time. Great for candles.

Fair but short lived
Well, for the two years it worked, it was phenomenal. Unfortunately, it now refuses to charge. The length of a charge is amazing though; I only charged it four times since I bought it, and I was using it sometimes several times a day. I used it for incense and I don't think the prongs are wide enough to easily use it to light cigarette. Candles and incense are what this is made for.The body definitely feels cheap, but the slide action feels well made and sharp, and doesn't stick at all. The prongs are housed in plastic and accumulate soot readily. You should clean the diodes when it gets sooty as it tends to impede the direction of the arc.It lights about as well as a match, taking the same time to light incense and candles alike. If you're looking for speed, go with a butane lighter, this guy's strength is not running out of fuel, not lighting things on fire quickly. As far as the noise, yes it does have the electric whine as all lighters do but it's not worse than any other. The extension and retraction of the prongs have a satisfying click at the end of the slide.Overall, I'd say this is a good lighter, though it should last longer than two years for what it cost.Last thing: it charges with USB c and does come with a very short charging cable. No wall wart though.

Great replacement for your lighters
This is a very good lighter for a few reasons. does the job very nicely; I use it mostly for candles and it is great. Its rechargeable that means no nasty gases or .. and more importantly it is something you can use for quite a while which doesn't make nasty rubbish like gas lighters.

Game changer!
I love this thing!! Why did I not know electric, rechargeable lighters were a thing?? I am a candle fanatic and went through an ungodly amount of propane lighters before discovering this. It’s a total game changer and I will never go back to gas lighters! Works great, charge lasts a decent amount of time. The lighting technique is obviously a little different than with a regular lighter and takes some getting used to, but is very easy and intuitive once you’ve got the hang of it.

Great for a year or so
Like other reviews, it’s works so well and holds charge for a long time. But after a year it will now no longer charge. Completely dead.
