Recalled Lid
The lid for these water bottles has been recalled and these are not supposed to be sold anymore. You can Google Contigo recall lid for confirmation. The lids with the black plastic on them have been recalled because the clear rubber piece can detach and create a choking hazard. I ordered this product and received it with the recalled lids.

Great design but not durable!!! - Great Customer Service though
First let me start by saying that I absolutely LOVED these water bottles at first, and bought a total of about 8 of these for my kids. They keep the kids' drinks cold all day despite the hot Florida weather, are truly leak proof, easy to drink from and carry, and are easy to clean - although we use them for water only, no juice or milk. My kids always ask for their "pop-up cups" as they call them, and prefer them to all other cups. The only problem is durability. One by one, all of the handles are either starting to crack, break halfway, or have broken all of the way off. We're down to 4 of the 8 that are in-tact. This is only after a few months of daily use. My kids are 1.5 and 3.5, so they might be harder on them than older kids, but I still think this is unacceptable. They also easily dent, scratch, and (for the colored versions) flake. Finally, they don't quite fit in the carseat cupholders (we have the Graco 4-Ever convertible carseats for both kids). I'm not sure if this would be true for all carseat brands, but I thought it was worth mentioning. EDIT: I contacted contigo customer service describing my issues and they were amazing. Sent me replacement water bottles in no time! Awesome customer service!

You don’t get what you paid for.
This product does /not/ feature the flip up silicone tipped spout as indicated in the pictures. It has a hard non flip spout. Do not purchase if your intent is for your kiddos. The listing is misleading.

Not for toddlers
Read the description - unlike many other contigo bottles, you have to hold a button to keep the spout open and thus drink from it. Was expecting a straw or something.. it is not worth my time to try to teach my 2 year old how to maneuver this one.

Recall for the lid
Lid is a recall lid. After 4 hours of use the plastic is starting to break. We had some before and sent in lids for this recall and it took 6 months to get lids back. This shouldn’t have been sold with the recalled lids.
