Great scanner at the right price point!
This scanner is so easy to use and gives great results! No cropping needed. You have to scan in each one individually, but it's quick, and a lot of pictures won't batch scan anyways since they stick together, so I wasn't concerned about that feature. So happy to finally find a scanner where I don't have to lift the lid to place. I've scanned thousands of old photos as well as documents & memorabilia. Highly satisfied at a great price!

I Love This Scanner
Like many others, I have multiple boxes of old photos, and I've started on the project of converting them to digital images. I put a lot of time into researching photo scanners, and the ones I was interested in were pretty pricey. Timewise, this project is out of the question using the flatbed scanner available in my printer. After a lot of research, I decided on this Plustek scanner. I've had it for about 7 or 8 months now, and I love it. You can scan up to 50 photos at a time with no buttons or adjustments - just feed the photos in one at a time. At 300dpi, the process is fast. The images drop into Plustec's software, and you have the ability to do some editing and color adjustment. I've found that this software works well for me, is easy to use, and is all I need. I just want to get all these photos scanned in and organized and I'm not terribly interested in any serious editing at this point. I'm especially happy with the color enhancement that's available for those old color photos from decades past that are fading or turning yellow - it really gives those photos new life, just by clicking on a button or two. I have other photo editing software on my laptop, and I'll worry about serious editing later, if I even decide to go that far. After I've made any quick color adjustments, I just move the photos onto my hard drive, where I can organize them., and save them on an external hard drive. The Plustek scanner does a great job and has a very attractive price tag. The user manual is detailed and very helpful. I've heard good things about the customer service, but I haven't needed to use it. There's also a case available for it here on Amazon, and I keep it in the case on my desk to eliminate dust. The scanner doesn't take up much room on the desk, so I keep it there to work on my scanning project when I have a little extra time. I recommend this scanner for anybody who's looking to tackle a photo archiving project without breaking the bank.

Great scanner at a great price!
Wow, what a scanner.! As a retired IT Analyst, I started looking at photo scanners and happened across this one by chance. It arrived today and it was very simple to set up. I went to Plustek's website and downloaded the drivers from there as I don't have a CD Drive on my laptop. Setup was very easy and simple while following their Quick Start Guide. In a manner of about 10 minutes or so, I was scanning loose photos that I received from my mother. The photos ranged in size from 4"x6" down to 1 1/2"x 2 1/8". I even scanned some loose pieces of paper, and the scanner handled them all. It works great on my Windows 11 laptop and the scans open up with a variety of image software. I had no issues with pictures jamming, especially think Polaroid photos from the 1970s. Overall, I am extremely happy with the scanner and how easy it is to use.

Good Scanner Poor App That Needs Major Update
The scanner is fast and generally very good. The software is not intuitive and should be updated. I have a Mac and the icons in the application are images that are not labeled. The scanner does not come with any instructions that clearly identifies or provides an explanation of what the icons are and how to use them. This I see as a major problem. Moreover, it is difficult to save photos to your own folders. Plus, you cannot click and save photos in the application. This is a major weakness. I had to call technical support 3 times to figure out how to save photos to my folders . I almost returned the scanner but did not because it does a good job quickly scanning photos. The software is in need major updating.

Absolutely Worth Every Penny
I have a couple thousand photos to digitize and had "briefly" thought about using my flatbed scanner. I figured I'd be long gone before getting close to finishing this chore. One night I was thinking about this project at 3am and since I couldn't sleep I pulled out my phone and searched Amazon for photo input devices. Put this one in the wish list for the next day. After researching different models I finalized on this one and I am sure glad I did. It arrived next day and I immediately began using it. It is simply so very easy to use. So far I have processed 770 photos, each of which I use the included software to enhance the photos. Scanning the photos is extremely fast. The images are clean and as sharp as the photo. The included software blew me away as it does a very good job at fixing photo problems. Many old black and white photos from the 50s were faded and weirdly colored. The software Restore function made these look great. All in all I highly recommend this scanner. There is no way to digitize so many photos without a machine that is designed to do the job. This one fits the bill in every respect. It is priced at the lower end, which I like. I don't know what else could be added to warrant a higher cost. Revision next day..... Can I add an additional 5 stars to this review? I have scanned almost 1200 photos so far and am having a blast doing so. Unit just keeps on chugging along with no problems and the results never cease to amaze me. The old photos are coming alive. Sure is bring back memories!

Fast scanning and ease of use.
I love this scanner! It has saved me so much time. The photos scan individually by inserting them into the feeder. Once you finish scanning you can correct all of the photos with the included program. Then you can access your file structure through the program and save the files to the folder that you wish. You can even create new folders through the program. I was scanning on my printer and a flatbed scanner. It took so much time scan and then save the files. I highly recommend this scanner.

Fast, easy-to-use, and high quality images
LOVE this photo scanner. I had been looking for a way to quickly digitize prints and provide decent quality. My HP flatbed printer scanner is way too slow. A friend recommended the Plustek Z300, and it works great. You just feed the photo into the roller scanner and it scans it and shoots it out about as fast as you can load it. (You have to load each one, no batch processing.) SCAN SPEED: At 300 dpi, it zips prints through faster than I can load them. Even at 600 dpi, it's pretty fast. Scans small prints to enlargements of 8x10 or 8.5x11. IMAGE QUALITY: I'm a photographer, so I'm pretty picky about my images. The image quality straight from the machine is pretty good if the photo was shot in daylight. If it was shot in other lighting or the photo is faded, it may need some correction, but the editing software makes it quick and easy to correct once you learn the various functions. Way faster than using Photoshop to open each photo and adjust. I use 300 dpi for most photos and 600 dpi for photos that are special/important. EASY TO INSTALL: It comes with the application software on a CD or you can download it from their website. Was super easy to download and start using. Pretty intuitive to use. PROS: Good image quality, fast, small desktop footprint. Works with PC or MAC. CONS: Sometimes, it's a little tricky lining up the photo straight to be fed into the scanner. Would be nice if there was some adjustable edge guide you could line it up with. Although if you're a little crooked, the software will auto correct. Because it's a roller feed, you can't scan pages in a book. But that's what a flatbed scanner is for. Be sure your photos are dust free or it will show up in the scan. OVERALL: If you have a bunch of photos you need to archive/scan, this will do the trick with minimal hassle. Great way to digitize an entire photo album or shoebox (however you store them) quickly. Highly recommend this!

I Love This!! Great find!!
This is nearly plug and play once you download the product application. It is so fast! I thought I would be at this all day, I had a large pile of photos to go through. It literally took minutes. It is super easy to rotate the photo if it went in the wrong direction, and easy to delete and rescan. The color quality if perfect. It is light weight and so easy to use. I uploaded to a regular Windows based computer. I haven't worked with the organization features yet, but there are there to use, and I will eventually.

Guter Scanner

Per me fantastico!!!
Perdere 30 minuti a foto........avrei finito fra 20 anni!!!! Per me quindi consigliatissimo. Roberto.
