Looks and feels nice. Said needs batteries and batteries not required. It does take or needs three AAA batteries. My problem with the light is that it is square shape and not round. you can see in one of the pictures of the end that inside it is square. You get a pinpoint square and not a circle. Distracting when shinning it and you find yourself turning it in your hand looking at something close. Otherwise nice bright bright light. Haven't had long enough for durability or waterproofness.
