Drink, Pour, Store! Wide Mouth Mason Jar Flip Cap Lid by County Line Kitchen with Airtight, Leak-Proof Seal and Innovative Flip Cap (WIDE MOUTH, Variety, 3 Pack)

I've been doing a lot of cold brew recently and trying to find a way to streamline the process. It's lovely to have it made fresh at home, but the cleaning and transferring and storing can sometimes feel like more trouble than it's worth. After some hunting and looking for leak proof alternatives to the metal lids, something that was one piece so I didn't have to fumble around as much or deal with the rusting... enter these lids. They've worked out perfectly. I use them on the 24 ounce wide mouth jars. I pop a couple coffee pods in there, my current go to is Wolfgang Puck single cup coffee pods, but there are other brands, and even ones for espresso. Anyway, 2 pods stack perfectly in the bottom of the jar, then fill with water and let sit on the counter for 24-36 hours. I do shake them a few times, like a total 180 degree rotation several times, during the brew process and I've never had the lids leak. Then I remove the pods which are conveniently floating on the top, and a top it off with a little water, screw this lid back on and keep it in the fridge. I get about two servings from each jar, and while I just wanted a lids that would be easier to deal with during all the on again off again process... an added bonus turned out that when it comes time to pour over a glass of ice, I don't have to unscrew the whole lid, so it's even easier than I hoped. Moreover, the little flip top stays open while I'm pouring so I don't even need to try and juggle that without making a mess. Yes, I'm a klutz and the less I have to juggle at once, the better. I simply love these.

I've tried so many mason jar lids and these are by far my favorite. They are indeed leakproof. I toss my jars into my bag with no worries. The seal works perfectly and is easily removable for washing. (They also sell replacement seals.) The opening has a satisfying and reassuring snap when you close it. Other styles and brands pop open if you look at them wrong, these stay put until you intend to open them. I have no worries when shaking up my morning smoothie. The large opening is great fro drinking, pouring, or putting a straw into. Other than the ring for the removable seal, there are no tiny crevices, so it is easy to clean and dishwasher safe. I also like the version with the handle. I can make tea in a half gallon jar and easily pour it into glasses.

I got these to put cold press in. I was just using a quart jar, and I had a screw on lid. And that worked, decent. Except when I pour some out. It sticks to the jar on that over the edge . It makes for a royal mess. I have some measuring cups, with what they say is "non drip" technology. I don't know for sure as I never looked close. But I think these lids have that same non-drip logic. They don't drip when you pour. The caps shut tight, no concerns there. Shake it up before you use it, yea. They screw onto the mason jar secure, yea. And they are colored to distinguish them. So I can say, "You want the blue one". So far, I'm just the one person. But the one set of three is all I need. But I will definatly get more if I can ever use more. Until then I will suggest them to others. This was a great find to me. Every thing is always pathetic quantity. But I found three things in the last three months, that are all of excellent quality. This was one of them.

These flip lids are awesome! I have a wide mouth half-gallon mason jar and many more quart sized wide mouth mason jars. I also love tea, especially iced teas. These lids gave me the ability to brew my tea directly in the mason jar and drink from them once cooled. I never thought about using mason jars for beverage containers, but once I saw these my mind exploded and I'm drinking tea every day now instead of soda and juice. They're great for cold beverages, especially iced teas and tisanes. I drink straight from the cap, and I rinse the cap and jar clean when done and brew a new tea directly in the jar with water straight from a boiling kettle. The cap cleans very easy, I just rinse with some dish soap in warm/hot water and its good to go another round. It seals tight onto the jar, and so far none have leaked on me, and feel as though they never will. This purchase made me genuinely happy, I plan to buy more as it allows me to have many different varieties of teas for my delight at every given moment... so long as there is enough fridge space!

They're just plain great. They're heavy duty. They seal really well. Sometimes the flip cap needs a firm hit in order to close it, but overall these are nearly perfect and I'll probably buy more soon. UPDATE - July 2020: I purchased these in Feb 2019 and after about 10 months of use, I still love these BUT THE FLIP TOP CAP DOES SOMETIMES COME OFF! I rarely ever hold it by the flip cap, but one day I filled a large mason jar with water and briefly picked it up by the flip top in order to move it a couple inches and the flip top popped off. It easily popped back in place, but AS A SAFETY MEASURE, I STRONG RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT HOLD IT BY THE FLIP TOP CAP as the picture shows. If you’ve got the lid on a large glass jar this could be dangerous. That said, I still love these. I also recently purchased the AIEVE brand lids just for the color variations and returned them becuase they leak and overall suck compared to the County Line. I’ve since ordered more County Line brand lids.
