Kelsyus Premium Canopy Chair

Love this chair because the bag is gone! I always hated having to "sack up" my chair after my granddaughter's softball games. The chair never fit back in correctly and the bags usually tore half-way through the season. Now I just wrap the back around & snap it shut. The canopy is much sturdier than any others I've seen and does a great job of keeping the sun off. I get lots of envious looks from people holding umbrellas! Not a lot of back support, the chair is deep and I'm a small person. I remedy this with a cushion behind my back.

I've written the following to Kelsyus:I bought my first Kelsyus Premium Canopy Chair via amazon.com. It was delivered on April 4, 2014.After ONE week / three uses, the stitching was coming apart at the top of the chair. I submitted a return request via amazon and they sent me a placement as returned the original purchase. The replacement was Received On : April 28, 2014.Both were the lime green.I've since used the replacement about 8-10x. Once again the stitching is coming apart, only this time it's the underside of the chair.I'm sad - I love this chair - but if two of them are coming apart, I'm not sure what to do...And, now I'm past my 30 days of being able to replace this, via amazon.com."This item cannot be returned.Return Window expired on May 29, 2014."What do you recommend?PS: I have photos of the original chair's stitching failure, as well as the stitching failure of the replacement, if need be. I also have my order summaries that I can submit, as well.Hopeful,(my name & number where here)SIDE NOTE: Amazon.com was SUPER about getting me a new one, to replace the first. I HOPE HOPE HOPE to hear back that Kelsyus will make good on their product - I'll be sure to update this review, based on their response.

This chair tore within a few days of using it. We bought 2 of them to use at our sons baseball games and by second game it was falling apart. We bought in January but didn't need it until April so by the time we actually opened it it was too late to return it.The other chair has been fine*********Update******They replaced the chairs for us after complaining to the company and new one is working out great

Thought it was great the first day we used it. Was breathable, easy fold up and provided good enough shade. This chair is not worth it's money. It started to rip the second day we used it on a 3 day trip. Then the seat ripped completely on the 2nd use, which was just a beach day. Horrible chair will never buy one from them again. Was never able to return it. The only person sitting in it was 140lbs. We have chairs that were $10 that have lasted us 10 years and this one couldn't even last a day.

Well, I must say this chair is comfortable and it looks good... This price wasn't bad either. So why a 1 star. Well you have to give some credit for those characteristics. I bought this chair in August for tailgating this football season. We have had 5 home games... so I have used the chair 5 times and it broke today. There is a weak spot where they drilled the hole at a joint and the arm holding the right side simply caved in. Not abused but simply caved in.

Our second time buying these chairs...last purchase of two chairs less than a year ago. We only use them in the spring/summer. Neither of us is over the stated 250 wt limit....so why do they continue to fail? The Achilles heel seems to be the plastic connector plates and rivets at the joints, especially the front area near the arms. The rivets pop, the plastic snaps, the chair falls. You can't use the arms to push yourself up from the chair without straining that weak area and hastening the chair's failure.

Like others mine broke after 2-3 uses. I didn't have the fabric issue, but rather one of the plastic supports that tops one of the legs basically ripped out. Otherwise I thought the fabric quality looked pretty good. The canopy worked well and I had no issues folding it up and buckling it. The tag was dated 2014, and I know they had some batches of bad chairs produced in 2014. I contacted the manufacturer and someone answered right away and they were based out of the US. They are sending out a new chair free of charge. I'm hoping it's dated 2015 and the quality issue has been resolved. I will update my review once I get the new chair.

The worst chair I have ever purchased. The seams on the chair tore within three weeks of use. I am 5'4" and weigh 125. My husband is 5'10 and weighs 158. We are not over loading the chairs! Within a month the leg broke. And, the legs drop out of the cover when closed. I will never purchase this brand again.

I loved this at first and would have given it 5 stars at the start, after a 6-7 uses to watch the childrens' football games whilst avoiding the sun, one of the back bars became stuck in the c clip and as I pulled it apart, the bar bent.It is easy to use and assemble, instead of having a bag, the canopy acts like the cover, I purchased 2 as it would be an argument with my daughter or son who was going to sit on it whilst the other was playing.In comfort I would give it 10/10, ease to put up/pack away 10/10 as canopy acts as cover, 5/10 for bar bending when trying to dismantle from c clip that holds canopy up.The other chair has been perfect and no issues.

Great chair for the beach hut

Ample space fir me and a granddaughter! Seems sturdy so may last hopefully ...best part easy to set up and fold away. Don’t have to try to jam it back in a bag that is too tight

I just received this. So promptly at my door. The chair requires zero assembly. I think it's gorgeous. It's not too heavy for me to carry to the beach or the back yard.the canopy is great.it becomes the carrying case with shoulder handle.love it.

Really liked this chair until the seam between the canvas and netting began to fray and unravel after using it only four times. I have requested a replacement in hopes that this was just one "lemon" chair. The chair itself is easy to set up, take down, carry, and the canopy is sturdy. Was loving this chair until the seam let go (and I'm not a large person).Don't buy this chair based on my first review. Apparently this is a major problem with the new design....MANY other complaints on the exact same issue. Does seem like a bad place to be sewing materials together (on the seat that takes all the pressure)
