Love this lens! As far as RF lenses go it's great value for money. Quality feel and smooth operation whilst zooming. I use it with my R8 and it has a permanent place in my camera bag. I was worried about the higher aperture in low light situations, but I shouldn't have been, its surprisingly versatile and offers great quality images even in lower light situations. I've used it it great affect at sporting events such as F1 and for wildlife photos. Ideal for enthusiasts.

This is the best lens that I use on my Canon R8. The images are always so crisp and clear. I’ve recently used it to photograph some Red kites in flight and the images were stunning. It is as equally good on slower moving objects or even still objects. It is light weight and so versatile. The autofocus feature and stabilisation and fantastic for this lens. As with all of my Canon RF lenses the overall quality and fit to the body looks and feels great.

Great lens - expensive but worth it. Good autofocus and sharp images even at 400mm. The longer you go the less the quality but it’s perfectly fine for personal use - not quite professional standard but a third the price of a pro-lens. If you’re a keen amateur it will do you just fine.

Reasonable optics, build quality is good for the price point. Lens is quite light so is easy to use without tripod. Auto steady feature is effective when using longer focal lengths. Aperture at longer lengths (F11 I think) can be a bit restrictive Not weatherproof so be careful when using in inclement conditions. All in all a great lens for the price.

I am very much a beginner at photography. Recently been enjoying capturing photos of garden birds. I bought this lens to help with that. I have an r10 camera, with this lens I am really happy with the photos I am getting. Its also motivating me to get out and capture more in nature.

Fantastic lens for the price. Paired up with my R7 I get an effective full frame focal range of 160-640mm. It is relatively light weight and compact, making it easy to carry whenever I take the camera out. My RF 100-500L is of course a better lens but it is also a fair bit bigger and I don't always want to carry that with me. Auto focus performance is really good, I have not had any issues with it myself and the same goes for the IS. IS works well enough that I can hand hold videos with the lens extended fully to 400mm and shoot at slower shutter speeds with acceptable results.

I’ve had this lens for about a week now and have fitted it to my Canon EOS R10, APS-C mirrorless camera. First impression is very good and I can zoom into distant subjects easily, without losing any noticeable picture quality, compared to a smaller lens. There are, of course trade-offs with the aperture size, but in good light, this product should serve me very well. Even though this is a compact lightweight lens, it still seems pretty big and heavy, but this is a little unfair, as I’m comparing it to a smaller lens, which would naturally be lighter and less bulky. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s basically the best lens I have ever had. Un buen lente a precio razonable. Para cámaras de gama media y entusiastas es el lente perfecto para sacar unas fotos extraordinarias sin necesidad de pedir una nueva hipoteca. Dentro de que es es un teleobjetivo tiene cierta versatilidad, ya que es utilizable a menos de un metro a cualquier distancia focal ( de 100 a 400mm), y una buena magnificación de x0,41 que se da características semi-macro muy interesantes. El estabilizador de 5,5 pasos es una maravilla. La construcción muy ligera pero de muy buena calidad confiere un buen tacto. Con mi R10 hacen un combo perfecto para naturaleza y deporte. la foto de ejemplo esta hecha en interior a 400mm de focal en cámara APS-C (R10), equivalente a 640mm. a 1,5 mts del objeto

Bei Canon ist es selten, ein RF-Objektiv mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis zu finden. Dieses 100-400mm ist leicht, kompakt, perfekt für Reise und Wanderung. Bildqualität gut genug für diesen Preis. Mit IS auf Objektiv und meiner R6II kann man bei 400mm mit 1/100s oder noch langsamer fotografieren. Lichtstärke ist relativ schwach, aber für heutige Denoising-Technik ist hohe ISO kein großes Problem. Leider kein Staubschutz und Wasserschutz. 400mm ist für Vogelfotos auch oft nicht genug. Aber für diesen Preis kann man nicht mehr verlangen. Für Wildlife-Einsteiger sehr gut geeignet.
