I love the idea, but... UPDATE: COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!
Product was delivered on time, packaging was great. Installation was EASY!!! My only concern: Although I stayed 4" inside the top and both sides of my 55" TV, the length of lighting on the sides could be longer for my taste. Let me be clear, what is lit up looks just the way I'd hoped. It just seems to be lacking when looking at it because the lights on the side don't go the full length and so it almost looks incomplete. I've included a picture of my installation above the marketing photo used by Power Practical/Luminoodle for comparison. Sadly, I do notice it while watching TV and it's almost a distraction at this point and I kind of feel as if my eyes are actually straining to compensate for the darkness (that I'm trying to eliminate) that's still there around the bottom quarter of the screen. I'd prefer to have lighting all the way around like the photo used by the seller. So, a question (hoping the seller will reply here): Should I have installed this even further towards the center of my television to allow it to go farther around my TV? I'm certainly farther away from the edge than the product photo in the listing, so I'm not sure if that would have diminished the amount of light too much, especially in the corners - maybe? I might try it again, if there's a solution; but, I'm not too keen on just throwing this one away and paying for a second one - maybe some instructions or "Considerations when installing" would have been helpful. To close, I really do love the idea and I think it would be fantastic on a smaller screen - but I can't really say that I love the final outcome on my 55" TV. It didn't really end up as I'd hoped. UPDATE 10-5-16: Within a day of my original review, Power Practical offered a new, recently updated (approximately 45" longer) version of the product as a free replacement. I was contacted by their Customer Service representative (Aurora), and without question, this has been my best overall experience with anyone's Customer Service department to date. Every correspondence was professional, courteous, and made me feel like my satisfaction was what was important. With that said, my new replacement lighting arrived within a few days and within minutes of opening the package, it was installed on my 55" TV (it's really that easy - but be sure to clean the dust off of your TV first). The extra length was exactly what I needed for my television, and the difference was easily noticeable right away. Now my eyes actually feel 'relaxed' - when watching television at night. I've attached another photo showing the new installation. Conclusion? I -HIGHLY- recommend this product and the folks at Power Practical. In fact, I already did! To a friend of mine who's father likes to watch television in the dark. She saw mine on Friday, ordered hers on Saturday, and then Tuesday night sends me a picture of the installation saying how much her dad loves it!!!

Great visual with a great useful purpose.
Very happy with this bias lighting kit. It's not too dim or too bright. In fact, I barely notice it at all when watching TV, which is good, because that means it's not a distraction. What I DO notice, is that now when I am done watching a movie, my eyes aren't tired and my vision is no longer blurry. Seriously. I used to wonder what was wrong with me. I'd almost have double vision after watching a movie before, and my eyes just seemed so fatigued. I've had the bias lights on for a month now and I love it. The visual effect looks great around the TV and the viewing has been much more enjoyable. I had no problems with install. I took my time and mapped my route, dusted and cleaned the back of the TV very well, and like every 3M tape product I've ever installed I peeled a little at a time, and pressed and held each section firmly for 20 seconds before moving on. I just watched two movies in a row last night and my eyes didn't feel sore/tired and I could see without having the blurred vision I used to after long viewing. It's really impossible to get a good picture representation of the lighting in action, it just doesn't come through in photos. It's not as vivid bright around the tv as a picture shows, but it's also not as dark in the rest of the room as shown. Basically it fills my entire living room with a soft ambient glow and lights the area directly around the TV as if it's an extension of the screen. Really a great product and for a reasonable price too.

Simple, functional, true 6k LED strip, and eye strain relief
I didn't get a discount and I didn't get anything for free. I didn't even get this on a Prime sale. Full price, my friends. Product arrived quickly and with no damage. Packaging is simple as are the instructions; unwrap, remove backing, stick onto display, plug into USB port. When I initially started removing the backing, the adhesive came up along with it. Managed to stick it back but it's no longer straight and flat, so just something to watch out for when installing. This doesn't have any effect on the functionality, however. Pleasantly surprised to find that it's true 6k; my room is nothing but 6k lights. And it's as bright as you would want. I'm assuming the manufacturer didn't decide on the spacing and strength by chance or at random, because it would appear as if whoever designed this product actually wanted it to be GOOD. Baffling, I know! Another pleasant surprise: The original monitor I picked up was defective, so I ended up exchanging for a different model. Removing the Luminoodle strip was simple, then I just stuck it to a wall until I got my new monitor ready for the install, and back on it went. Wasn't happy with monitor #2, so I returned that and bought monitor #3. Removed, reinstalled, still functioning just fine. The product functions as advertised and has been very beneficial in reducing eye strain. I appreciate the easy install process (stick the strip and plug into USB). The brightness level is strong enough be noticeable without being a distraction or an additional eyesore. I can't think of any cons for this. Yeah, the adhesive came up, but that was most likely because I was impatient when removing the backing tape. It would be nice to be able to adjust the brightness or change the LED color, but those aren't detractors. Product never claimed to have those features, won't mark it down because I suddenly expect more. The date is currently 9/26/2016. I'll post pictures on 9/27/2017. It's a simple purchase that I know will pay for itself very, very quickly. Less eye strain means more work gets done. :)

Good Product, Good Design
I don't have a home theater room or anything but after reading others reviews I thought if it could improve the picture quality then it was worth a shot. I looked at various brands and makers that offered various configurations. I chose the Luminoodle because it was the most straightforward setup. It doesn't come with a remote or ability to change color as other sellers do. I decided that simple was better. The installation was easy, I found a video online so that I'd know what to expect. Even after watching the video and being aware of potential pitfalls, I still managed to peel the adhesive away from from the light kit. It went back easily enough and was still sticky so I could attach it to the back of the TV. I have a 50" screen and this was just enough to go around 3 sides (like they show in the picture). So if you have a larger TV then the light strip wont fully cover both sides. Other reviewers have complained that the adhesive wasn't durable and would peel away from the TV. That has not been my experience. It sticks well, even when you double it over to make the 90 degree turns. I'm not sure that the light strip makes a difference in color perception, but it does make it easier to watch by reducing eye strain. I noticed that I feel more comfortable or relaxed while watching nighttime tv. What I don't like... This may just apply to my circumstance, so bear that in mind. My TV is set against a wall that is right next to a hallway. Everytime I pass the TV on my way to or from the bedrooms, I get a shock of light. It's not a deal breaker and I imagine I'll get accustomed to it. If I could put the TV elsewhere I wouldn't even mention it. If I decide to buy another of these I would be more inclined to get a unit that offers the ability to adjust the brightness and different colors for mood lighting. Bottom line - the Luminoodle is well designed, uses quality adhesive, provides bright light, makes watching tv more comfortable (for me anyway). Its a good product and reasonably priced. I would recommend to anyone looking to add bias lighting to their home theatre. It would also be an inexpensive method to provide under cabinet lighting and I may consider that at some point in the future.

I love them and for the price and 5 minutes install time you should give them a try if you are on the fence about them
I wasn't sold on the idea of bias lighting at first but I figured after reading many positive comments on the A/V forums for my Samsung KS8500 I decided I would give it a shot. This kit isn't expensive at all so the risk level was pretty low. Well, I got it in, unrolled it, and stuck on the back of my curved screen. It made it all the way up one side, across the top, and all the way down the other side with no problems just like they stated in their description. If you plug these into the USB plug on the back of you TV then they will even turn on and off with your TV, at least on the KS8500 they do. It took maybe 5 minutes from start to finish. I was very impressed with the light output of these lights even though my TV sits in the corner of the room and is a few feet out from the wall too. It allows us to comfortably watch TV in the dark while still being able to see and it also creates a nice "aura" around the screen. I will say they also seem to make the bright colors in animated movies like Finding Dory pop even more than normal, so much so that even my son says he likes the TV better with the bias lights on it. Bias lights are also supposed to reduce eye strain and I'll take all the help I can get there during my late-night Horizon: Zero Dawn sessions. Overall I am very pleased with the look and function of these lights and highly recommend them. *****There is one important thing to keep in mind when purchasing/installing these lights if you have a KS8500 or KS8000, the light strip will make it all the way around 3/4 of the TV screen but there is not enough slack left to make it to the USB plug on the back of the TV. To remedy this I just spent another $3-$4 on a 1-meter USB extension. The length was much longer than needed but I figured better safe than sorry.*****

Simple, easy to use TV bias lighting
This is the third time I've bought this LED strip. I keep coming back to this one because it's simple to use, reliable, and cheap. I've tried other bias lights with dimming features and color control and they are just complicated for no reason, the remote runs out of battery and the batteries are not standard size. I don't need any of those features for a TV bias light. This one has no on-off switch, no dimmer control, no color control. You plug it into a USB port on the back of the TV and it turns on and off with the TV. Simple and no fuss. In terms of sizing, I've used this on a 65", 85" and now 98" TV. For the 98" TV, I bought the XXL length. As you can see from the picture, I did not run it to the very edge of the TV. It sits about 12" inboard on all sides. That works perfectly in my view. I have tried running the light strip very close to the edge of the TV and it's too bright and distracting. I like my bias lighting to be subtle and plain, D6500 white. For Sony TVs, they will sometimes send power to the USB port when the TV is turned off. To keep the bias light off with TV off, I have installed a USB power switch so I could just shut it off. Not a big deal and much simpler to use than the janky remote controls that comes with the color changing lights that are easy to lose or runs out of battery power after a year or so.

Sweet!
Such a fan! This is a wonderful product for me. I have wanted to light up a dark corner where my tv is for a very long time. My son purchased one and when I saw his installed I thought it brightened up his space and really looked cool how it made the tv almost glow behind it. He said it was easy to install, and it really was. My husband didn't want a light fixture, even an uplight behind the TV because he felt like it was interfering with watching TV. This LED light was the perfect solution. The space behind the TV is lit up now, and our TV now glows behind it as well. Looks cheerful and techno. Really glad I tried it, and glad it was so easy to install. Biggest thing to make sure is that you have a really close USB connection to plug it into. My TV is older (HD, 1080 version, not 4K, and kind of on the first "wave" of large digital TVs) and it wouldn't work on the only USB, but I was able to connect it to the USB port on the TV modem right underneath and there was about maybe 8" between the connector and the first LED light. Amazingly it was the perfect amount so that no lights appear except behind the TV. I tried this in both of my newer tvs before installing it on my older one (before I took the tape off I tested it on the other tvs), and on those I was able to plug directly into the tv USB connections for it to work. Absolutely delighted with this purchase.

Functional but too bright - especially for a monitor
After having these for a couple years for both my tv and 32" gaming monitor for my pc, I decided to read more about screen backlighting, light temps, and brightness. Anyways, these are way too bright even at their lowest setting. Especially for a gaming monitor on a desk. Found another option with a far greater brightness range, as well as a more precise light temp rating, and upgraded the tv to it last year, and today got the same thing for the gaming monitor. Big improvement. Definitely do more research before you pull the trigger. three stars because they are still built well and easy to use and install, and they have worked for multiple years always on.

The best bias lights
By far the best backlight. I’ve tried others but none are as good. Changed my tv and bought these again for the new one. A nice bonus was the leds came off perfectly from the old tv with no sticky residue. The light strip is very well designed with cutouts every few cm which allows it to bend around corners - very clever! The light it gives is a lovely clear white which boosts the image on the tv. Can’t fault them. There’s no fancy colours or dimming etc but there Shouldn’t be for bias lighting.

Good product and easy to install and turns on and off with the TV
This product lives up to what it claims. Installation is easy and all you do is plug it into one of the USB ports on the TV. Every time you turn the TV on it automatically comes on and turns itself off about 15 seconds after the TV is off. I was looking for a bias light as I have an LCD TV and the this helps both with perceived contrast and overall lighting so the bright scenes don't bother your eyes as much, especially during HDR viewing. I may still get a remote control for this product in the future. They do sell a similar one with colored led and remote for a little more but I have no use for color. I strictly wanted it for its white light output(supposedly 6000K) Edit Sep 2023. The company is very responsive and answers any queries very quickly. After I changed the TV from Samsung to Sony, I had trouble with this because Sony never turned the USB power off. It comes on every now and then and the light would come on and go off, so much so that it was driving everyone in the house crazy. So, I bought a power strip with master and slave setting and everything is back to normal now. Edit Nov 2023. I changed the TV to a Samsung and bought another unit. The way Samsung implements the USB power scheme, I don't need an external power source. I use the built-in USB on the TV and everything is great.

Bisschen teuer aber bin sehr zufrieden!!!
Bin begeistert. Tolles Produkt.
