I bought these for dog walking in local fields during the recent spell of snow and ice, so this review is not based on trekking in the Himalayas! Pros for me:- - great sense of security walking on snow and ice - even when my girl was pulling (she's reactive to other dogs so I needed the grip!) - also works on slippery grass and mud (though this involves a lot more cleaning afterwards) - not too uncomfortable when walking briefly on pavement between icy patches etc - easy to use overall - quick to fit on for walks and take off for cleaning - the velcro band helps the fit and has stayed secure (if anything, the velcro is a bit too sticky!) - rubber stretches well, returns to size, and nothing has snapped yet - all the studs are still intact and seem quite firmly attached - will fit over wellies (but my fit was on the larger end on the range with my size in it so there was room for the stretch) Cons for me:- - spikes are quite sharp so I have to keep a keen eye on both my feet and my dog's paws when she's over excited - you can't just walk straight into a shop etc with these on - the spikes then do the opposite to grip, plus they can cause damage to surfaces (but, as said, are easy enough to take on and off) - rubber straps move slightly over the toe of wellies (but easily corrected and to be fair, these weren't designed for wellies!) - no studs on the heels does make the balance feel a little strange but I imagine this is to do with the best weight distribution in the snow/on the ice - not the clearest instructions on how to fit the velcro bands but it all makes sense once you've sorted it out the first time - the plastic bag they come with to keep them in is basically just a standard, thin 'zip close' plastic bag that didn't stand up to having the grips put in and taken out. I replaced it with a decent bag so that I can throw them in and out of the car. Overall for me: Great value for money - functioned well, as they kept me upright!

I have used them once so far, for a walk in snowy and icy conditions. They were easy to put onto my walking boots, remained secure, and the grip was excellent, giving me confidence to stride out. They did not let me down. On the negative side the spikes at the back sit more in the arch than the heel, so I wonder whether they would perform even better if they were further back. Also one of the front spikes has already fallen off after just one use, so the durability is questionable. If I use them again and more fall off I will reduce my rating from 4 to 3 stars. I love this product. After the coldest and iciest weather for about 15 years this was a game changer for me. After sliding around on dog walks and any time I had to go out I decided to give these a go. The quality is really good and they are easy to put on and take off. The metal spikes really grip the ice and I felt very safe walking in them. I live at the bottom of a steep hill and felt safe walking down to with these on. I haven't slipped once. They improved my confidence when walking and made ethics awful icy weather feel more manageable. I would highly recommend these.

Worked well for what they are designed to do. Very poor durability. Bought for me and my wife and the studs came away within an hour of hill walking on snow and ice.

Great product best ones yet. Bought a few pairs of these over the years and these are by far the best. The spikes are actually a small circle of spikes on each area of the rubber boot attachment which are a massive improvement over the usual little metal studs which are next to useless. Walking on them is easy as once you learn to stamp a bit with each step they grip really well even on solid black ice which gives you total confidence when walking on any slippery surface . Not sure how long they will last as got them just before the big freeze but there is no damage yet . Would definitely recommend 10/10

Not entirely happy with these. They fit well and secure on the shoe but not happy as the spikes do not cover the heel. Previously I had boots with heel spikes, were very good, no slipping on ice. When you walk heel goes down first so I am skeptical how good these will be. Not been out in them yet. My shoes are Womens size 7.

Thought I'd get a pair of these for our inevitable cold snap. Things always get slippery a couple days after a light snowfall once it's all compacted and become ice. They seem good, but obviously not been able to test them. The grips are really sharp, so I'm confident they will dig into the ice and keep me stable. The rubber is nice and flexible and easily pulls over my trainers.

I haven't used these for hiking yet having just purchased them but I have fitted them on my boots and had a walk around. They seem secure and I think they will likely be easy to walk on when hiking. Quality seems good with the spikes looking well fixed, secure and likely to withstand the rigours. So I consider these a good by at the price charged. As per other reviews, the spikes at the back don't actually cover the heel area (hence dropping to 4 stars). As the illustrations show this it suggests there may be a reason for it. Possibly if they were further back you wouldn't get the secure fit over the heel? but you would expect an easy design fix. Would be good if the manufacturer commented on this to give explanation? UPDATE: Now fully tested I can advise that these may be fine for pavement walking etc, but definitely not for mountains. A single trip on Scafell Pike destroyed them. Something more reliable is needed for such trips.

Ahora que sé acerca el invierno estos “crampones” son muy útiles y recomendables. Muy útiles en ciudad cuando nueva y hay hielo. Con ellos andaremos por las aceras seguros, y sin riesgo de resbalones. Si ere aficionado a las rutas en invierno por el campo te pueden ayudar, pero ojo, si haces rutas por zonas nevadas debes llevar crampones de montaña. Estos te pueden sacar de un apuro, pero no deben sustituir nunca a los crampones de montaña. Eso si, como comentaba , para nevadas y heladas en ciudad y pueblos sin ideales. Yo los he comprado para mi y otros para mi madre, para cuando nieva en el pueblo y hiela, ya que son muy fáciles y cómodos de poner, y se adaptan a cualquier calzado. Son de goma muy fuerte y las tachuelas estrelladas se adhieren bien . Completare la reseña cuando hiele y los pruebe bien sobre el terreno. De momento muy buenas sensaciones

A -18 con la tormenta di neve e tutto ghiacciato le ho tirate fuori, messe in 2 secondi ed allacciata la cinturina, sembrava di camminare normalmente su asfalto. Ho avuto anni fa gli altri modelli quelli con la puntina singola e senza il laccetto di sicurezza e le ho sempre odiate, stavo per prendermi delle ciaspole ma ho visto queste ed ho voluto provare, non me ne son pentito. Sono 130 kg, più zaini etc sarò stato sui 150, i tacchetti hanno retto egregiamente, i laccetti non me li hanno fatto perdere in giro (come succedeva quasi sempre con gli altri modelli) e le triple punte danno più sicurezza e non si son piegate. Ottime.

Może i fajnie się zakłada bo szybko ale nie wytrzymały do końca jednej wycieczku, 13 km więc nie polecam.
