How to use True Metrix test strips
I've been using these for years and observed that some reviewers have difficulty using them. Here are things that I have learned about using this product:Error reading the sample:It takes a moment to "wake up" after a strip is inserted. Be sure to wait until the little blood drop image appears on the screen. To remember to allow enough time, I'll insert the test strip and THEN poke myself. That is usually just the right amount of time.Sometimes blood doesn't come out. Ugh!! Then I need to prick myself again. Leaving the strip in the meter too long results in an error message. First remove the test strip; wait for the screen to go blank. Reinsert the test strip. Jab. Apply blood to strip. Tada!Issues with hot and cold:When I leave these in a hot place, such as my car on a day hotter than 90 degrees, it will fail. To remedy this, turn on the car AND the air conditioning, then hold the meter and test strip canister in front of the vent for about 30 to 60 seconds. Put a strip in and it should work.Sometimes I travel to ungodly hot deserts, so I stow my True Metrix meter and strips in my icebox / lunchbox. While in the desert, I tend to store the product in the refrigerator. In each of these scenarios, remove the meter and strips from the cold environment about 5 minutes prior to use. They should function just fine.

affortable
I recommend buying these on Amazon because they're much cheaper than Walgreens or any pharmacy store. I have bought for my mom frequently, so I've saved a lot of money. Besides that, they work just the same, there's no noticeable difference

15 cents/unit! Costs a fraction of retail price at Rite Aid or Walgreens
Good results using two separate meters. I carry one meter and keep another as a spare and for calibration. These strips work very well and are consistent. My second meter reads 15 points lower but consistently, so I use the more pessimistic unit for safety. Never assume you are getting complete accuracy from this type of meter, but average results compare very well against proper A1C lab tests, so I trust the AVERAGE results over time. Note that my doctor said to measure before meals or at least 3 to four hours after to avoid false high readings. Best price for these strips here and I've had very low failure rates. The bad reviews here I think may be incorrect usage. Generally when I see a failure I know I was not quick enough between putting the strip into the meter (starting with the meter OFF) and applying the drop of blood when the blood drop indicator starts flashing). The sequence is sterilize your finger and. Lancette device, puncture, squeeze out a sample blood drop, THEN open the test strip vial, take out one strip, seal the vial, and place in meter (do NOT turn on the meter furst, this was my initial mistake, it will turn on automatically in insertion), when the blood drop starts flashing apply the blood drop to the strip. Remember that the readings are valid over averages, a single reading may be off by 20 percent. You should get A1CA lab tests to verify that you are keeping within your glucose limits.

They seem to work and good value.
I switched to this brand a few years ago and they seem to do the job. The meters are good value and the these strips seem to be priced lower than most others. Every batch I have purchased so far is well within the expiry date range. I will keep using them until I find something better/cheaper.

So glad to find a place to get them from and ...
I have been using the TRUE METRIX meter and strips for a few years now and the place I would get my meter and strips from just up and quit selling them no reason why. So glad to find a place to get them from and at a really reasonable price..

Works great at a fair price.
For years, I used a well known brand name that requires a doctor prescription. These work just as well, don't require a prescription and are cheaper than the brand name, even with good insurance
