Simple boil & bite design - but quite large.
This is a decent enough looking 'boil & bite' type mouth guard. (So you heat in warm water for a minute or so, place in your mouth, and bite into it, to shape it to your teeth).I've used a few of these over the years, as I am heavily into martial arts, and some sort of dental protection is crucial when sparring.I can't comment on the protection of this guard, beyond saying it seems as solid as any other I've tried. The downside, and it may just be me, is that I find this one relatively big - and I struggle to use it without it making me gag (not ideal when trying to concentrate). I've used several similar products before without this problem, so I think it's probably a size related thing.Perhaps something to be aware of though, as obviously you can't return these once you've bitten them to shape your teeth !

took a few attempts to mould properly
BOXING Gel Mouth guard====================Initially did not fit, kept falling out, but used the boil and bite method and got lucky the third time round. Used for sparring

Perfect for Mountain Biking
Been wearing this for mountain biking for the last month or so. Thankfully haven't seen if it works or not yet. Feels comfortable, easy to put in and hugs my teeth so it doesn't come out with my mouth open. Wouldn't think about wearing an open face helmet on faster sections without it now, even though you get some funny looks as you pop it into your mouth before dropping into a section.

The protective screen is strong enough.
The gumshield has a good set of instructions and the gumshield is strong enough and I love the fact that I can mould it to my own teeth. This is especially useful as I don't want to damage my teeth further when playing. However, it would have been helpful on guidance on how to make the gumshield smaller or maybe offer different lengths, I had to use scissors.

Easy to get the fit right using the boil-bite method, works really well
Got this for a 12 year old and found it was a bit large front to back... after a quick trim and the boil & bite method to fit it, it works perfectly. For those who are not familiar with fitting these, you follow the instructions by dropping it in boiling water for 15 to 20 seconds to soften the outer shell and the inner squishy rubber, then cool it for a few seconds so it doesn't scald you, then pop it in the mouth and bite it. In doing so it takes the shape of your teeth and enables you to shape the whole thing to fit around teeth and gums.Overall easy to fit and it works perfectly fine.
