Excellent book!!!!!
I rarely rate books, but this book was so comprehensive on suggestions! I haven't read any other books with this many suggestions! I decided to buy this book when I saw how extensive it was in the table of contents. Previous books only briefly discuss how EMF can cause insomnia. This had a whole chapter about it! Many other books don't even mention EMFs. For instance, when you live in the city you may typically have over ten different wifi signals in your house! All those wifi signals aren't healthy!A suggestion I would make is list cheap ways to block it such as aluminum screens, mylar, tin foil. etc. Also discuss which walls wifi signals are more likely to go through and which aren't. Wifi signals can easily enter through windows. There is also paint that can block EMFs. If someone was to buy an EMF detector, make sure they also checks for RF for radio waves. If you aren't sure whether they are any good, go to Youtube to see how well they perform by watching other users demonstrate them. For sleep apnea, tongue exercises should be mentioned that help strengthen the back of the throat to help minimize it. For restless legs, a deficiency of iron may be the cause. Hence, tests should be done to check for it.I liked suggestions about bed sheets and portable phones.Except for these few suggestions, I highly recommend this book because it was so comprehensive!!!!!

Worth the read
This book is not a how to book...it is a try this book. It does not give you one secret solution to sleeping better. It is an entire book of many different things to try depending on you situation. I tried several of the ideas given. For me the buck wheat pillow was the ultimate fix to sleeping through the night comfortably. But I also followed the suggestion to eliminate as many of the small lights in the house like all the "on" electronic lights. I just placed something in front so it no longer shown into the room or turned them toward the wall. Also moved our electric clock and our wall connected phone away from the head of our bed. Since that...I have true my slept the best I have in years. Good ideas. Worth the read.

Best Summary of Practical Tips for Improving Sleep
This is an amazing book! I've been reading about how to prevent my bouts of insomnia all through the years. I've found many solutions, but as I age, new issues crop up. I've learn so much. This is pretty much the only resource on sleep that contains pretty much everything I learned. The book is so easy to read and gives you quick information without all the research, while it directs you to the places to get all the details. For example, I've read all the research by Dr. Stasha Gominak and her fascinating experiences with her patients' Vitamin D levels and its impact on sleep apnea. This book has a brief paragraph about her. This book appears like a fluff book, but it's not. It's a simplified review of so much information on how to improve your sleep. Believe what the author suggests. He's really done his homework. God bless him. The only topic I wish it had info on is how menopause can impact your sleep.

What a Blessing!
I have just finished this amazing book. The author has truly given me many different tools and excersizes to help me get a good nights sleep. It is obvious that he cares about people and has done much research on this subject. He stresses natural methods but also gives information about devices that may help if these natural methods don't work. Throughout the e-book are sites to go to for further information..so handy to just tap on the screen to get to these sites. If one is serious about making changes to cure what seems like a curse....waking up at 1 in the morning and not being able to go back to sleep or just no able to go to sleep easily...you will find many ways to overcome. What a blessing! Carole

To sleep or not to sleep
This e-book is so useful! The author has done a thorough research on all sleep methods. I've had difficulty sleeping for most of my life and I've been using a variety of techniques in the last 20 years including binaural, exercising, food habits, sleep apnoea and ways to relax. It was refreshing to see the author had covered these topics in a lot of detail. You're not required to read the book from cover to cover. The author encourages the reader to select the subject that best reflects their situation, however I found it helpful to read the entire book. Thank you Ronald! :)

Good survey
Reads like a catalog. Still, lots of good ideas and links to external sources. I found this book to be helpful and informative.Since it came to me as a free ebook, it was definitely a good value!

There is actually something new under the sun -- and hope for people with insomnia.
I haven't read the whole book yet -- there's so much information to absorb and use! But, even with a partial read, I've found many useful things. I've been struggling with insomnia for years and seen numerous doctors -- to no avail. I thought there was nothing new to learn -- but this book has many good and useful new tools for me. I highly recommend it if you need help with insomnia or even if you need to learn to relax better.

Total and Utter Rubbish
If you have a reading age of an 8 year old you may get something from this book, although it's an American author so probably aimed at the US market, so I suppose it's pitched at the correct level of intelligence for the book's intended market. The book is punctuated with little pictures of cute sleepy animals, dogs with floppy hats on and such like - I'm a 44 year old man so these pathetically childish images don't really appeal to me. The first 20% of the book just lists all of the health consequences of not being able to sleep; stroke, heart attack, cancer etc... no help at all. The book is mainly made up of quotes from other "experts", so no insight from the actual author. A patronising, useless, pointless waste of money and the writer of this book should be ashamed. DO NOT BUY.

Excellent, lots of simple tips - open the bedroom ...
Excellent, lots of simple tips - open the bedroom window (regardless of the weather) for an hour before going to bed to infuse the rom with negative ions (close the door if it's cold outside so the rest of the house doesn't get cold) and pick three or four sleep-associated words to repeat to yourself if you wake during the night - both have made a real difference to my waking up at 2 in the morning and not being able to go back to sleep. I promise the word thing is spookily effective. As soon as i start repeating them in your head I fall back to sleep, and it takes literally no more than two or three repetitions (I mix them up as I repeat them to increase the focus on the words and not allow other thoughts to intrude). Lots of other info and ideas, cartoons and web links. Really recommend it.
