Is this wool good for knitting men's pullover with cable pattern or is it to open thin . Also how many skeins I will need to finish the project .

If a scarf crocheting project calls for 273yd which is the length of this yarn, do I need to order an additional yarn to make sure I have enough?

Dear Doria, I always buy extra yarn just in case. Then if you have some leftover you can always use it to crochet a picot edge around the scarf. It is very nice wool and I’m using it to plant dye for a knitting project. Enjoy the warmth of winter with your hand crocheted scarf.

It is not labeled with this info. A search doesn’t reveal anything outside of it being from a Chinese cashmere company. I did not swatch a stockinette sample so can’t provide number of stitch range. I’m knitting lace with it. I dropped needle size to a 3. It is knitting up beautifully. I would classify it as a light DK.

How many yards in three skeins? 273 yards in one skein or three . Thanks in advance

I’m pretty sure it’s each skein is 273 yards especially at it only being a 50 ball. Or at least that’s what is shows when it’s sold for the individual package.

I did not like the knots in the wool. When joining I like to start at the beginning of a row with a new ball. When knitting on 5 needles to was annoying when I saw the knot
