Samsung A52s - great phone with lots of features, at affordable price
Samsung A52S is a great phone with excellent features. I mainly bought it for its camera as I take plenty of nature photos and videos. The camera quality is pretty good (4 lenses), including macro mode. The zoom features are really useful - especially the 0.5 zoom which allows me to take videos capturing a greater angle and field of view when required.Battery life is extremely good. After streaming videos and using video calls, browsing the Internet, the battery stays at 75-80% after the whole day. Recharging is pretty fast. The phone comes with a charger but the charging cable is quite short, so I purchased a 2m cable which much better for my needs. The internal storage capacity in this phone is 128GB. Around 25GB is taken by the operaring system and apps which still leaves you with plenty of space for photos, videos and documents. You can extend the storage by buying a micro SD card. The power off button was initially set by default to use Bixby (really annoying feature) and had to be turned off but it's an easy fix for this. Settings > Advanced Features> Side Button > Press and Hold (select 'Power off Menu' instead of 'Wake Bixby').I've had the phone for about a couple of months and am well pleased with it. The phone is really fast and reliable, it has good speakers, great microphone and 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting headphones or earphones. This feature is not available in newer Samsung models which prefer users to rely on Bluetooth headsets. I'd much rather use the plug-in 3.5mm headset and am glad this phone has this feature. The macro camera mode isn't that great as it loses sharpness at close-up shots but the standard camera takes pretty decent photos at close range. It also has a night mode option, although I would not use it very often as it's not great.Overall, I am very satisfied with this phone, considering all the pros and cons and it's a great phone suitable for my needs, a worthy successor of Samaung A7 which I used before.Delivery from the vendor (who I believe is not UK based) was very quick. It took maybe 4 -5 days for me to get the parcel by courier (with tracking service available). It was well secured and came with the UK, 3 pin mains adapter.P.S. This phone is 5G enabled but you can turn it off if you don't wish to use 5G but swap to 4G network instead. Go to Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Mode > choose "LTE/3G/2G".

Excellent product at great price
I purchased the A52s 5G from Tech Direct. It arrived on time and with all seals intact, clearly marked as "new". My first experience of a Samsung smartphone and I was not disappointed. Facial recognition seems hit or miss but fingerprint log-in works well. Display and camera are excellent. Good battery life. I had some difficulty in registering the product and warranty, but communication with supplier Tech Direct (via Amazon) was good with swift responses, fully resolving my queries. I recommend them highly.

Excellent phone but...
Bought this phone as my wife got the same and I was impressed with it.When phone arrived after the initial set up I was surprised to see that the 5g option was not working properly. After checking the phones emei found that the phone was from South America region market, as they have different software configuration from EMEA region. After a ota upgrade the phone encountered an error while updating and rendered the phone bricked. After contacting Samsung to see if they can help they said that beacuse the phone was from South America region market the warranty was not valid for European use need it to go back to South America region to be repaired.. I've given 5 stars as the phone was brilliant but the software a big let down.. Send back for refund and buy a different handset. So watch out for region variations..

Really good feature packed phone.
Having always had iphones since the iphone 3, I've been getting increasingly frustrated with the so called "Apple tax" premium. This is coupled with the increase in slowing down of ios after a certain length of time owning an iphone for a while.I was no longer prepared to fork out another £700 - £1000 for another iphone that was physically fine. So reluctantly I decided to switch to an android phone. I decided on a Samsung phone as I wanted the peace of mind of security and privacy with the built in knox platform, and timely security updates.Going from ios to android can be a steep leaning curve with some frustrations. However, the samsung switch app did a surprisingly good job of moving most of my stuff over, even downloading and installing android equivelent apps.I'm now up and running with most of the apps I had before, some of them are actually better, and only one app that I cant get an android version for.At £250ish quid I can't complain, and doubt I will ever go back to Apple.

good battery life
2 things attracted me to this phone - a good battery and a headphone socket. Most modern phones seem to have dropped the headphone socket. I wanted to be able to continue to use my good (and expensive) headphones. The sound is good, photos I have taken are good and the battery life has lived up to expectations.

Overheating
Everything is fine until I start to take a phone call. When I am in a call it heats up within 3 minutes and in 5 minutes I am in fear that it might going to explod on me.Since I don't talk much in call the battery runs almost 2 days.
