Linebacker’s defense
My son says, it has great padding. He wore similar pads in his senior year of football and they saved his shoulder :) The prep school he is in this year provides cheaper pads, that’s why we decided to get him an upgraded version for his shoulders.

this sucked
these pads were one of the most terrible pads i have ever put on. they feel like they wiegh 1000 pounds and the pads are super bulky. you will look like your in a 90s football movie. i can’t even move my head when i have theese. if you are a quarterback please whatever you do do NOT buy these.

Back Plate is very small!
The shoulder pads seem very nice but will need some work to break in. Also, the back plate is very small and does not have the coverage that is shown in the product picture. The Riddell website has the same picture and it is deceiving. Since the back plate is riveted, it can not be removed to add a better one.
