Christmas gift for our grandson and he loves his Rubrics Cube. He has had others over the years, but this one he proclaims is superior. The quick response in manipulating the cube is crisp and satisfying.

My boys are both into speed cubing. They have multiple other cubes but they both wanted this one for Christmas so I got them each one in spite of my reluctance to spend this much on a puzzle. They have been extremely happy with them! The corner cutting is amazing, they are really fast and have a good feel in hand. They haven’t had any lock ups. They also like the purple core and one of them likes that the logo sticker is removable. It is now both of their main cubes.

I was really looking forward to this cube. I own all previous versions of the WRM (as well as the one with ridges), and really like them. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be in this same line of cubes. First of all, the main purpose of maglev is reduced friction and spring noise. This cube is so clackly and loud that the models with springs are actually quieter. Also, no matter how I adjust the settings on this cube, I can't get corner cutting to improve (and it's not good!) and the cube is just soooooo noisy when solving! One of the few cubes I decided not to add to my collection and instead returned (which is very rare for me).

This is a good cube but the maglev makes it a GREAT cube. I love everything about it; the adjustable magnets that help the corners lock in place; the easy centre adjustability; the purple inside; the tools that come in the box; and the display case it comes with. Lots of reviewers mention the speed of the cube and make it sound scary and uncontrollable, which is only partly true… the maglev makes it a very fast cube and it brought my average solve speed down by 2 seconds, just from a new cube! It feels like butter when turning, but it isn’t too fast. Once you adjust to its turn speed, it’s amazing. The best cube I’ve owned!
