MITSUMOTO SAKARI 8-Inch Kiritsuke Chef Knife, 440C Damascus, White Handle

Gave this knife to one of my bosses in the past and his mother wanted it ,I wound up getting fired later because the immigrant they hired wanted more money and was trying to press me for how much I was getting paid.

(Street cred: professional with chef level knife skills going back 4 decades. Quality knives a passion and benefit of being a retired old fart: cut gloves. Never had them and never will need one. And my affection for cut gloves is almost on par with the bubonic plague. Start slow and easy - and burn the skill into the motor pathways! Protecting from stupid only protects stupidity. Been using this knife for about 4 months and so far so good. Sushi Rolls are easy to cut and Sashimi is also easy to cut. You will need a Wet Stone to keep the sharpness but very good knife.

Knife is of very poor quality. Purchased this as a gift for a family member18 months ago and handle is separating and rusting. The grip is uncomfortable and slippery as well. Way too much money for such a cheap knife.

Really happy with this knife it only comes out on special occasions like salami making time or preparing some nice fish. Love it

Very happy with my purchase and this knife! I know knives very well, I bought it for my wife for Mother's day, well that is what I told her hehehe. It is very light and EXTREMELY SHARP, everything you want in a knife. Just watch out for the finger guard, it is very sharp and can cut you if you do not pay attention.

Blunt right out of the box. Blade is not straight. Wood was chipped. This is a seriously inferior quality product for its price point compared to other knives I've used for less than half the price.
