Is a 33x12.50x20 the same size as a 305x55x20?

The sizes are very close in size. The 305/55R20 is 33.25" tall, the 33x12.50R20 is 32.75".

How do these tires do with road noise?

They are better than most aggressive off-road tires, but they aren't as quiet as a lot of the reviews would lead you to believe. I switched from Terra Grapplers to these reins Grapplers and it is easily twice as loud as the Terra Grapplers.
