Spitfire Scout 4-Wheel Power Travel Scooter, Red and Blue

First off, this is a great scooter. I bought this scooter after major leg surgery to take with me when I moved from Florida to Georgia. My mother was able to assemble it on her own in about an hour. The scooter is heavy when it is put together but if you take the battery and seat off it becomes a lot more manageable. My mom and 14 yo brother were able to get it in and out of the back of our van relatively easily. I brought this scooter with me to Disney World and it did an awesome job getting me through the parks. I’ve never had the battery die, even after a full days use. I don’t think I’ve ever even seen the battery drop bellow 50% charged. I have also taken this scooter to the lake and it did great going up and down hills, over dirt roads and even through grass when needed. The scooter is easy to control, can go faster than a lot of other scooters, feels stable and holds a good charge. The only time I’ve had an issue was when I was going up a steep hill in the scooter. The scooter died suddenly and stopped midway up the hill, however the scooter didn’t slide backwards, so I was safe. I took the keys out and waited for a while, maybe 10 mins, then turned the scooter back on and it was working again. I think the hill was just a bit too steep. My leg was in a straight leg brace and I was able to keep it straight in the scooter. I am 6 feet tall and my foot hung a bit off the front of the scooter but it didn’t bother me or cause any problems for the scooter. There was plenty of room for my other leg so if you are tall and can bed your knees I think this scooter will work great for you. This scooter is just as high quality as scooters three times the price.

Don't need the expensive installation onto the van like dad's old scooter to carry his old fashioned heavy duty scooter within his van in the 90's. We just take this one apart in just a few steps and it fits right in the trunk of the car for me! The battery and base unit are a bit heavy for this 70 year year old woman but that's what I have kids for. Even took it on a dirt trail while my family went for a walk and this little darling handled the job better than any of us imagined it would! It probably wasn't intended for four wheeling like that but this baby got me there and back all safe and sound. I get compliments every time people see me taking it out of the trunk! An Amazing product except the steering column never has tighten up firmly when assembled, even before the trail trip! LOL...The battery holds a good charge for the day and is easy to hook up charger. The seat's even wide enough for this healthy Nana and the arm rests lift out of the way for easier access.! The umbrella attachment I purchased broke before we could even get it attached and the cup holder was ridiculously awkward. But as for the Scooter itself I recommend it to anyone who can still handle a little weight to lift in and out of vehicle. Check the weight stats for yourself...

I've got a medical problem and I have pain when I stand or walk. I'm an outside person and have a bad case of cabin fever. I like to walk and see nature so I bought this product. I read the reviews and questions first so decided to give this scooter a try. I was interested in a fold up scooter but the price was $900 more and weighed more that I can lift anyway. This scooter is heavy also, but I'm happy just riding it from our house. The terrain here is hilly, but this scooter handles them with no problem. I charge it after every use though. My normal ride is about 1.7 miles. The charger lights have never been anything but green. The seat is comfortable and it's quite easy to operate. It seems to be good quality except that a plastic fitting, for the basket, was broken off when we opened the box. I glued it back with JB Weld. It may have been damaged in shipping. The price was very reasonable. The battery is heavy so I just charge it while mounted to the scooter. I'm thankful that I could find one with this decent quality for the price. The manual is easy to read and is full size. I really enjoy having this scooter to get me around.

I was hesitant to buy a mobility scooter for my disabled husband for two main reasons: (1) I didn't know if he would like it and use it. (2) I didn't know if I would be able to assemble it by myself. Both of these concerns were erased by this scooter. I was able to put it together with no help, and my husband loves it. We took it on a road trip to Florida, and it enabled him to accompany me on walks and to go into restaurants without having to use a walker. It is very easy to disassemble for transporting in a car and very easy to assemble when arriving at a destination. I highly recommend it.

I waited about four months to write a review on this purchase. I wanted to see how it did after lots of uses and give a good honest review of a truly expensive but necessary purchase. While looking at what to purchase for my mom I looked at reviews. I decided to buy 4 wheels for stability...I watched a man with no legs riding his on the sidewalk flip over....no thank you! Then I looked at battery life. Batteries for these chairs range from $300 - $500 I did not feel that purchasing a chair that was $200 cheaper and than a battery was helpful. I read a lot of reviews on the smaller chair that is simular which said the battery only worked for a month. I choose this chair with the upgraded battery and longer life to save money in the long run. I believe that I purchased this chair around four months ago and it had been worth the money to my mom. She uses it everyday and loves that she can get around on her own. I recommend this chair...I know it cost more then others but the money will be saved with safety and battery life.

I bought this scooter after much internal debate with myself. Something is wrong with my knee and I'm no longer able to walk without it buckling. I have a large active dog who needs lots of exercise. So I took the chance and bought the scooter. I'm soooo happy with my purchase! We take our little trips every morning and night when it cools down. I'm able to get her to the park and we can play ball and now I have one very tired dog. It was very easy to put together. The directions were fantastic! I feel like I'm flying down the sidewalk. It's a great feeling to get out and move. The battery light has different colors. I can go about 5 miles before it drops into the orange. (this is in 2-3 outings) It turns very easily and I just love it. I do weigh more than the limit states, but so far it's been okay. I haven't noticed anything bad. Buy this unit, you won't regret it.

I am new to scooters. I researched them extensively prior to my selection. I am extremely happy with this one. I got the extended battery. There is ample leg room for a 5’6”, 130-lb woman, and leg room for a larger person. I assembled it completely by myself. I walk with at least one greyhound and she has ample room beside me on a sidewalk. It’s quiet. It wipes down easily. I got an excellent deal through Amazon Warehouse on mine. It has a wide range of speeds from very slow on up. POSSIBLE NEGATIVES: there are many sidewalks in disrepair around my home and some of them cannot be traversed by this scooter. It WILL go on grass but the ride gets quite bumpy. It feels slightly scary on inclines but only one time did I get hung up on a hidden tree root. I have never tipped it. No lights for nighttime or dusk. It may be difficult to break down and transport for some. I would definitely buy it again as positives far outweigh negatives.

Everything is to like about this scooter. It meets all expectations. The top speed is faster than you want to go in a grocery store. It's quiet. With the battery removed, I have no trouble getting it on a carrier behind my Tacoma truck. But, I have been trying to find out Is there a way to put the battery in without removing the chair. I can't do it. Is there a secret. With the chair removed it isn't too hard. But otherwise, the battery won't come out. You must first tilt it up when taking it out. However when putting the battery in it goes straight in, without the seat. There is a piece of velcro between the battery and the body of the scooter to hold it down. It causes drag when removing to installing the battery. I took it off. There was supposed to be an LED headlight. It's missing. Wonderful price for a sturdy scooter. It won't turn in the standard supermarket aisle without backing up a few times. I hope this helps. If these reviews are monitored, where is my headlight? also, there is no charging port on the steering column as stated. Only on the battery box.
