EDGE Reclus Anti-Reflective Lightweight Safety Glasses, High Impact Rated Z87.1+ Tested, Non-Slip Protective Eyewear

I ordered the "Clear Anti-Reflect" safety glasses. I have seen these glasses with tinted lenses, and I thought that they would be great with just clear lenses, and they are. The "anti-reflect" kinda gives them a slight mirrored look from the outside looking in. They do have a slight yellowy tint but thats ok with me. Overall Build Quality is very nice. They feel very sturdy and at the same time very comfortable to wear. I tested wearing these all day, and to my surprise they didn't leave any indents in my skin, like other cheap pairs of glasses do. While I was wearing them, some of my friends thought that they were glasses that I would wear if I wasn't wearing contacts. I don't wear glasses, and I then had to explain that they were safety glasses and then people started understanding. When i first tried them on, I had to check to make sure that there were actually lenses in the frame, they are exquisitely clear. I ordered them because you can never have too many good pairs of glasses. Pros: Sturdy Well made Slightly tinted Stylish (in a "utilitarian" sort of way: what my GF said) Ballisticly rated Cons: Tight fitting hats cause some discomfort on the parts that touch the ear area, and side of head. Slightly tinted (noticeable if you wear them for extended amounts of time and take them off in a certain light.) They do fog up minutely around the edges if your excersizing then stop suddenly.

I have had plenty of pairs of Edge Safety Glasses. I have never been disappointed. Polarized, yellow, anti-fog, AR... The Dakura and Reclus fit my narrow head great and I not only wear them for work and the shooting range, I also have a pair for everyday sunglasses usage/driving, etc. So when it comes to this product, take my word you are getting quality for pretty darn cheap. That being said, I needed a set of AR clears for nighttime riding on a motorcycle. I use a pair of Dakura polarized tinted during the day, however I really like the sleek look of the Reclus so I tried them in the clear AR lens... Bad Idea The Dakura is shaped more like a goggle and blocks wind from affecting your eyes. The Reclus, at least for me does a horrible job. Took them on one ride and I said no more. After the ride I felt like I had just swam with my eyes open in a highly chlorinated pool for hours. My cheeks were soaked with tears and I looked drunk/stoned. I immediately came home and ordered a pair of Dakuras. So anyone looking for a good pair of riding safety glasses, give the Edge Dakura a try... The Reclus of course protects your eyes from debris,bugs etc... but the frame is straighter and not as tight to the face. Wind gets behind the pair and your eyes will water up.

Just got these so cannot tell how well they'll withstand the test of time. The lenses seem of fairly good optical quality - I cannot detect any disturbing optical aberrations. The frame seems sturdy and lenses large enough to provide good eye protection. Edge specify pass-through of 65% of visible light. While some reduction in light intensity is noticeable, I'm not finding it particularly disturbing. Some reviewers on Amazon commented about this frame being too tight. The upside is that the glasses won't easily fall, yet they are indeed somewhat tight and I can see how that can be an issue for those with bigger/wider skulls, or when wearing them for long stretches of time.

A high-quality product

Fits nice, looks great, seems rugged. I wonder what the qualification is to consider it scratch-resistant, though. If they're resistant to scratches from a pillow case, does that mean they're scratch-resistant? Technically, yes. Marketing can be misleading. I always put my safety glasses between my hardhat lining and the plastic helmet itself when I'm not wearing the safety glasses in order to prevent losing them. This creates an environment prone to scratches, however I expected this "scratch-resistant" set to hold up to it. They're not. It's been 2 weeks and I already see small scratches. Also I dropped the glasses on pavement once and got a pretty deep scratch from that too. It'll only be a matter of time before I can't see through them from all the scratches. Being that I selected these because of the scratch-resistant claim, I'm disappointed in the purchase. Other than the lack of scratch-resistance, they would be a great pair.

Bought these in 2013 and recently just went out shooting again in 2016. Left a pair in my nylon gun case. While shooting, a gust of wind blew the case up in front of the gun. Shot a round right into the bag but couldn't find the exit hole. Didn't think about it until a while later. When putting things away I found the glasses had broken but the lens had deflected the .22 bullet almost completely. Just bought another pair and upgraded my original rating. The full frame never bothered me and I think the lenses would easily deflect debris. In fact, now that I think about it, these glasses already save my son in law who was a little too close to a scope on his new 30.06. The impact broke skin but the glasses distributed the force out so it wasn't too bad. Saved his eye anyway and that is the point, right? I purchased two pairs of these to take to the shooting range. They fit snugly and work well with the over-the-ear type hearing protection I have. They are decently comfortable and very sturdy feeling. In fact, part of what I don't love about them is the frame that goes all the way around the lens which probably provides more rigidity and increases safety but bothers me a little since I normally wear frameless lenses. For shooting, these fit against my face so I'm not going to get a hot shell ejected behind the lens and they are clear enough to use in an indoor range. For the price they can't be beat for safety so I'm giving them four stars. This is one of my worst low price purchases of the year. These are the most uncomfortable safety glasses i've ever worn. They are uneven and always feel crooked on my face. I generally wear safety glasses 10 hours per day, so comfort is important. Also, my main reason for getting these glasses was the Anti-glare claim. These glasses had such nasty glare that I couldn't wear them at work under the fluorescent lights and they are way too dangerous to even wear while driving. I would get double and triple vision. Not worth the hassle and cost of returning. Also, i've had $2 glasses that were way better and had less glare, even without claiming "Anti-glare"

I work at an oil change facility that requires us to wear safety glasses, we are provided an extremely cheap pair. I decided I wanted something that would give me the protection I need and be somewhat stylish as well. I searched all over amazon and came across these. They had good reviews and for good reason. These are very comfortable to wear all day thanks to the rubber nose piece and ear pieces. These fit very well and I don't have any issues with them falling off of my face. I really like the way these look, and so do my coworkers, in fact they like them enough that several others have ordered them as well. I have dropped them a few times taking them off of my face and the lenses seem to hold up nicely ( no scratches yet). Overall I am very pleased and should these ever get lost or broken I will be buying another pair.

The model is good. What i dislike shes a bit teinted then i work in tunelling and shes no good .i need a clear land.may is dont send me a clear lens . I dont know...

Awesome glasses but the lens are definitely not clear. I would consider these a 50/50 lens, if you work some where that doesn't allow these for inside work.

Nice glasses. Slight tint to them, thought they were going to be clear.
