This thins really works as advertised giving you way more information that you would ever want to know. Three stars because it uses wifi which likely better streams the massive amount of data to your phone. However, every time you get in your car, you phone connects unless you forget this wifi network making you have to reconnect when you want to see information. Perhaps I am missing something but can't use this as a hotspot and the phone will stay connected to this as it would to any friendly wifi. In others words, no LTE if phone is connected to this device over wifi.

Defective right out of the box.Plugged it in, but no WiFi network was available.Tried with iOS, Android, and Windows, and none of my devices could find a WiFi network.

Does what it should, though complete automotive derps will find the app's controls a bit fiddly. Still, it's incredibly useful; I imagine the plaid coat-wearing used car lot set uses these on their cars daily before people test drive them because it's easy to turn of the check engine light with this thing. For honest the car/truck owner, it's infinitely useful in revealing cryptic engine/computer error codes, like P0131. Huh, seriously, who doesn't know what THAT means? lol.

Works perfectly. I'm still a little on the fence about using Wifi instead of Bluetooth as using this blocks my phone's data connection, but that is a choice I made when I went with this this over other BT versions. Setup was quick and easy with the included instructions and works perfectly with the Android Torque free app. The Wifi connection seems solid and I have not experienced any issues. Tested on my 2014 Dodge Charger RT and 2006 Dodge Durango SXT (5.7L) without any issues.

This saves so much money! Having one of these for any DIY person out there. It you plug it in and it tells you exactly whats wrong with the car so you can fix it. Normally when the check engine light pops up you gotta take he car in to find out whats wrong but this tool analyzes and tells you that way you can simply pull in the garage and fix it yourself. You can connect to your phone makes the code easy for searching and finding out whats wrong. Then once everything fixed up you can use the tool to clear the check engine light and your done! I thought this would be hard to use. Its been cold here so we waited until the weather was better to try it. Its fast and easy.

Disconnects frequently while driving. But it gets the job done as far as reading codes.

Pretty nice but I think I'd rather just have an old school hard wired one instead of messing around with an app and connecting to it via wifi.

It worked great! Did exactly what it says. It's a little big and at night time the flashing lights can get a bit annoying but I have purchased a few other brands and they did not work. Great price too!
