This is a great product with great value for the money you spend! I have purchased 3 sets of these - 1 for outdoor use at my home, and 2 for indoor use where I work. The two sets that I use on a display at work have worked great since they arrived! I love the amount of control I have over the colors and the brightness, and the different presets in the app are cool! The one I have outside was working great too, but about a month ago, one of the lights stopped working properly. At first it wouldn't turn on at all, then it WOULD turn on, but it would slowly and dimly flash random colors. I went onto the app, found the support page, and described the issue I was having. Within a day their customer service replied back in the app, asked for a video of the issue, and requested my shipping info to send me a replacement. Within hours of me sending the info, they replied that they were shipping out a new one! Upon further inspection of the cords after removing it from my yard, it looks like an animal chewed through the cord attached to the malfunctioning light. When I get the replacement lights that they send I will make sure to conceal the cords better so no pests get to them.

Bought these over the summer. Had an issue with one of the lights…..but really only needed 3 lights for the area we were using it for (so no big deal). Shortly after, the rest of the lights went out. I exhausted all of my troubleshooting ideas and reached out to customer support to ensure I didn’t miss anything. I explained my predicament to customer support and asked for additional thoughts! The first thing they said is; “We’ll just send you a new one”!!! Stop worrying about it and we’ll make sure you get a new set! I couldn’t believe it. It was totally my fault and they just said they wanted me to enjoy their product. I was blown away by their customer service and will continue to buy products from them. For the record….. the issue was on me, and they wanted to ensure that I was satisfied! Amazing customer service! BTW….. the lights are amazing too! All my neighbors asked where I purchased them from.

I own and love many Govee product (more on this below) but THESE FLOOD LIGHTS ARE THE ONLY GOVEE PRODUCT I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. Mine (all 6 lights) couldn't last one winter and were internally flooded with water come spring. Considering the price of these which is oddly high, they are very poorly made and designed, use very cheap materials, are not very bright, and ARE NOT WATERPROOF. These are not suitable or durable enough for outdoor use and may be an electrical danger. DO NOT PURCHASE as the light panels/covers are not well sealed or waterproof. I should state that I currently use many of govee products, from many indoor light bulbs, several types of outdoor lighting (string lights, ground light), smart plugs, a heater, a few humidifiers, water sensors, remotes, temperature and humidity sensors, floor, corner, and desk lamps, segmented wall lights, and more. Not everything from Govee is top-of-the line (lack of brightness and some cheap feeling/looking materials) but it's often on sale for a good price, very reliable (IoT-wise), easy to use and set-up with a great app. Unfortunately, water from melted snow easily found it's way behind the light panels/covers due to very poor waterproofing seal (or sealant). I purchased a 6 pack of these flood lights late last year and after 1 winter all 6 of the lights were flooded with water internally. The panels were still adhered but each had large open/exposed pockets which allowed melted snow to enter inside and behind all 6 lights. I literally took each out of the ground and tipped them upside down and drained a few fl ounces of water from each. Only 2 of the 6 lights still worked by spring time and had to throw out the entire set. I don't know if you could even consider these water-resistant but they certainly shouldn't have been listed as waterproof. This could have been very dangerous as they worked up until spring so I had them plugged in all winter and early spring until I realized they were no longer turning on at night (automated timer). I hope this issue has been resolved since I originally bought these but they are the product from Govee I've purchased that I found to be completely terrible quality-wise especially considering how expensive they were at the time. Obviously I couldn't return them back to Amazon, but frankly I could not be more disappointed with a product which was advertised as water and winter-proof. Very disappointed in Govee with this product.

I like these more than I thought I might. They didn't have the lumen output I wanted, and they're kinda small, but honestly, these things are great and they do the job I wanted them to do. That job: Being spot lighting for a gaming table in my garage. Simple task right? Well, about that... So, I said they're kinda small, right? Well, that's no problem if you just wanna pop em in the ground with the stakes, but obviously, that wasn't what I was doing. I needed to do the fiendishly difficult job of getting two screws planted firmly in the wood in the rafters. If there was some way to remove the bracket that they come with, this would be no issue. However, these things will not come off, I don't see any conceivable way to do it, not without applying enough force to damage the light. So that leaves you with the impossible task of finding some tool that might help you get the screws that you found in the junk drawer up in there to mount these things. I wanted to just use a drill, and I have all sorts of fancy bendy extensions for drills, but nothing I have or could find at Harbor Freight could have been small enough. I even tried screws that have wrench heads, about the only thing I could make work, even the tiny socket wrench is too big. Bro, let me get these brackets off. Do I need special stuff? It's like, a completely round hole, so lame.. Someone pass this along to Govee! lol Other than this these are great, brighter than expected, and I would buy more. They just suck to install if you wanna hang them, the way I did. In the end I used super glue and duct tape to make sure they never go anywhere, because I could only get the screw in halfway before it pulled it close enough to make things impossible to work on. I cut the **** out of my knuckles trying to fit my big ol' paws in the tiny space.

I originally bought the Govee Outdoor Flood Lights 2 for my house, but I ended up using them for stage lighting at an event, and they worked amazingly. The brightness and color control are genuinely impressive for a consumer-grade product. The Good: Stage-Quality Brightness: These are incredibly powerful! They provided a perfect, deep color wash for the stage that didn't look "washed out." Vibrant & Precise: The RGBIC technology is stunning. Being able to mix warm/cool whites with millions of colors meant I could get the perfect skin-tone-friendly light for performers. Built Like a Tank: With an IP66 rating, these feel very rugged. Excellent App Control: The Govee Home App makes it easy to sync to music or set custom scenes. Matter support is also a huge plus for smart home integration. The Bad: Individual Control Learning Curve: If I had one minor gripe, it’s that the app could make individual light control a little easier to access. It takes a few extra taps to isolate one specific light in a string, but once you get the hang of it, it works fine. The Verdict: Still five stars all the way! Whether you are using these for professional-looking stage washes or just to be the best-looking house on the block, these lights are a fantastic value. Super bright, very vibrant, and worth every penny.

Man, I really love these when they work. Unfortunately, this is my second pair, and they stopped working only a couple of months in. I'm hesitant to buy more at this point.

I've had these for almost 2 years and absolutely love them. Super bright super functional and just really add a lot of charm to the backyard. I've seen people complain about them being waterproof and while I don't deal with snow in Southern California we've had some pretty substantial rainstorms while they've been installed and I've had no issues with the waterproofing. I also have two 60 lb absolutely insane dogs that tear butt around the backyard and slam into these things and send them flying constantly and they've all survived multiple collisions from big dumb puppy pitbulls. Really love these things and every time they go on a Black Friday sale I grab another set to add more vibe to the backyard. Definitely scope the video I posted for the waterproof boxes that I use for not only the power plug but the controller too! The directions explicitly state that the controller can't get wet which is annoying because it limits the amount of distance you have before the first light from the plug, definitely poor design there. The app is a bit annoying to figure out and not very intuitive but once you get how it works, it's easy enough to program and navigate, but I'm a bit of a techy nerd.

It’s not bright as expected

I have been a fan of Govee products forever so when it came to holiday/landscape lights, I naturally started with them. I was looking for RGB lights that were easy to install, used a familiar app and could be controlled using smart home assistants. These fit the bill! The colors are bright, pairing to the Govee app is flawless and most importantly, the pre existing scenes are just perfect! I was up and running right in time for the holiday season. While the lights are fantastic, the customer service is where Govee takes it to the next level. Outside of Govee’s control, I had an issue with one of the wires and I reached out to them for advice. I was hoping to get some tips on resolving the issue which made the lights inoperable. Govee asked for some details, and immediate shipped a replacement box within 2-3 business days! WOW! I was just blown away. They were courteous, sympathetic towards my issue and very responsive. Special shoutout to Melinda from the Govee support team who handled my case. This is truly amazing - in spite of this being an issue that wasn’t caused by their product, they helped make it right. And in turn, gained a more loyal customer for life. I will always default to Govee when considering my lighting needs in the future. If you are looking for fantastic holiday lights or any kind of RGB lights, start with Govee. You can buy a light anywhere - consider who will stand behind their products if/when it fails. That is the differentiator with this company!!

These are the lights of the future. Everyone will have these. No putting up string lights on hooks only to take them down again. These I wasn’t sure if they’d work in cold weather. It’s -42°C tonight & I switched from white to the Xmas pattern and lights are working. I bought 2 boxes in case anything goes wrong. So far so good. Were a hit at Halloween too! So nice to go to the app and choose from scores of patterns!
