I travel for work and often have to use public toilets that are definitely unsanitary. I have latex gloves, flushable wipes, and these toilet covers. It doesn’t matter how dirty a toilet is with those three things, I just glove up, slip one of those over the toilet seat cover throw the gloves away, sit down and take care of business. When done, I pull it off and throw it away. I usually use another glove to do it, but that’s just me. I have not yet had one rip or tear, but then I’m putting them carefully on while wearing gloves so it’s probably easier to not rip it because I’m not trying to keep my hands from touching anything. Since the whole idea is to avoid touching the toilet seat, I strongly recommend using latex gloves. These have been a game changer for me, and allow me to use public toilets, including porta potties, with ease and confidence. So how they recommend them, along with they take gloves and flushable wipes. Small enough to fit in a purse, and as I am a man, I just grabbed them out of a bag that I have in my car, put them in my pocket and walk in. All three things, easy peasy.
