Taste made me throw up

I love matcha but as someone else stated, this really doesn't taste like any matcha I've had. The drink overall has a really weird taste anyways, and I'm not sure if it's from the powder or the boba pearls- almost like a burnt or chemical taste. Definitely won't be buying again and don't recommend.

I loved the black tea version of this. I was not a fan of the matcha. I LOVE matcha flavoured stuff. Starbucks, ice cream, pocky, boba etc. This one I just didn't like. It wasn't gross, but it was lacking. As if they tried to make the earthy flavour of the matcha mild, but then what flavour is left to enjoy? I guess I'll just have double boba in my black milk tea!Some tips for prep:Don't let your ice touch your boba for too long. I used less ice than they advised (~200g). Then I added water or milk to taste if I thought it needed it. The first time I used 300g of ice. There was so much ice that it was touching the boba at the bottom of the glass. That gave the boba a gross texture. So, don't let the ice touch the boba for an extended period of time!Also, I used very hot water. I mixed the ice into the container I microwaved everything in and then poured it into a glass. That ensured all the boba was at the bottom of the cup and ice floated to top/ some melted.

The pearls did not soften very well and were crunchy.
