This lovely runner can be used as a hot plate/hot pad. That is the reason I purchased. This runner is shorter than I thought, it's long enough for what I need. Will hold up to three large pots/pans, easy to remove for cleaning.

Looks nice on the table. Protects the table nicely. Don’t have to worry about accidentally having my dishes knocked off.

I love that it protects my wood furniture, can easily be cleaned, and it's beautiful.

I concur with other reviewers in wishing the mat were a little longer. It fits three full sized pots. I was hoping for room for 6-7. Thanksgiving style spread. Also, if you have a plastic tablecloth under this mat it might get a little warped with heat transfer. If it were just a little thicker this wouldn’t happen. I like that it is all one piece so that it won’t peel apart from itself like other mats that I’ve seen here on Amazon. Good product though.

So very glad that I found this type of trivet. It seemed I needed to put down 2-3 trivets when serving a hot meal and my table looked like a hot mess. This trivet is not only functional but it kept all the hot items organized in one area while keeping the table looking pretty and when I’m not using it/serving meals it looks like a beautiful table runner on my table.

Wow! This is a beautiful trivet. I bought 2 because I was hosting Christmas dinner. It just made the table look so festive. You can definitely use it for any time of the year, but it did exactly what I wanted it to do. It was incredibly easy to clean. And, it protected my table when I placed hot dishes and pans directly on the trivet.
