Good Product!
I originally purchased the cheap imitation version and immediately regretted it. After the first 100 rounds of 9mm it dropped a pivot pin (lost) and a second one was discovered half-way out, needless to say they were quickly returned (thank you Prime Return Policies). Spend the extra and purchase the "real deal." Admittedly, I have not been to the range yet but the Magpul version clearly had a better feel and are of better construction. Mounting was simple and function is perfect, I can't wait to get to the range!!

Easy to use
This is my second pair of "iron sights", the first are Sigs which are actual metal. I really love the ease of use, build and weight of these. The flip-up feature is really cool. I bought them for a home defense PDW so I wasn't too concerned about using plastic. That being said they do feel like a sturdy, quality plastic which should last. They were easy to install and fitment was great. They look great and were easy to zero in. Overall I'd highly recommend them. Great sights for the price.

I couldn't be happier
I bought the front and rear set at a great price...so right from the get-go they were a great value. Both slid onto my rail with little effort, I placed them where I wanted them, tightened them down and that was that. Both have smooth function, with crisp latching and strong spring tension whether up or down...two of the tell-tales that they're the real product. I had been waffling between getting the gen 3s or gen 2s, and either would have been great. In the end I went with the gen 2s because I knew I'd like the side paddles for the flip-up activation...and I do. I had never seen or touched these prior to buying them, so I was relying in Magpul quality and reviews...and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Solid sights but…
They’re solid sights but man were they a pain in the butt to put onto my picatinny rail. I literally had to take everything off of the rail and slide the rear sight all the way back from the front of the rail to the back of my rifle. The sights fit the rail very tight so there’s really no wiggle room to place them over the rail to attach them. You must remove the screw and slide them onto the rail from the front of your gun or the back depending on how your picatinny rail is set up. Then you can attach the screw back to the unit for a tight sturdy fitment. Remember to place the screw between a space/groove on the picatinny rail or the screw will not be able to reach across into the threaded hole.
