i use these laughs to keep everything calm. i just really enjoy them

it took many many years, but i finally "get" Garfield. now i love it. it is really a great and funny comic. you knew that, but i didnt. now we need the reprinting of the entire series chronologically, in beautiful enduring hardcover books like this lovely volume.

I'm at an age where I can legitimately claim the title of 'old grouch'.This is, until I start reading this book.I mostly preform the Garfield's more modern look. But the wonderful,surly humor is the same.In my mind, humor helps to make the world go around. And Garfieldis one of the reasons, it's spinning with a smile.Morris C

Lol it's like funny

Bought this for a friend who turns 61 on August 8 th. He's a Garfield groupie..I couldn't be more pleased.

I have been a fan of Garfield since I was a little kid. This book brings back classics I recognize, and new ones I haven't had a chance to follow (local newspapers don't seem to carry Garfield anymore -- I even thought Jim Davis had stopped drawing Garfield!).Quality book, a must have for Garfield fans.

I loved Garfield books as a child in the 80's and my 7 year old asked for this having watched the cartoon on TV. Since receiving it he had read it and re-read many times. I picked it up to have a look through and found myself chuckling away at the stories, some I remember and some newer ones. It's a beautifully presented book, great quality and special notes throughout from the author introducing the characters and their personalities. For example, I never knew Charles Schultz was the first person to draw Garfield 'standing up'.Lovingly created, presented and a must for any fan or for anyone wanting to introduce to children to the characters for the first time.

as a garfield lover I really liked this book. it is really about 30 years of garfield comics, and therefore it has comics from each decade. from the very first to one of the very last. not only are the comics very funny, you can also clearly see garfield evolve both in appearance as in character. the book also looks good on your shelf. and for the money it is of very good value if you compare the number of comics in this book with the number of comics in a pocket. so if you love garfield you are going to love this book

This book is a collection of the best Garfield comic strips--spanning 1978 to 2008--made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Garfield strip (nearly 13 years ago). Most of the strips are dailies and those are in black-and-white, but the Garfield Sunday funnies are in full color. The book also includes some bonus features such as Jim Davis's 30 favorite Garfield comic strips. Would certainly recommend to any Garfield fan!
