Great product but could not use in my particular area

I purchased a double kit for home use. It included beams in four pieces, the hardware to install them, and the hardware to mount on the rails for hanging the bag. The product is wonderfully sturdy, but installation was unnecessarily difficult. First, holes are drilled at 12" and 16". This is great if you have a wide-enough beam or your joists are spaced perfectly. We had a sistered joist in the middle of the span which threw off the measurements. My wife emailed the company and they replied with "did you try the other holes?" as if it were that simple. When she replied with exact measurements they did not bother to respond. Because we were mounting to a low basement ceiling we did not want to first install a thick beam. Instead I drilled new holes into the steel. This was a complicated process, as we first had to make a template for the existing beam, then mount it on the ceiling and mark the joists, then go back and mark the beam. The beams are heavy and it was impossible to hold them in place and get accurate markings. Once everything was properly drilled we tried again. This time we couldn't get the beams to line up properly. After a lot of tweaking and adjusting we discovered the purpose of some of the hardware that was sent. We loosened everything up, installed more hardware on the beams, and finally got it installed properly. This product is wonderfully sturdy, but it would be greatly improved with the inclusion of accurate instructions and a mounting template. The instructions were unclear, skipped steps, and completely left off any information on how to align the double kit. There were no instructions for what to do if your joists don't align. Since we could only work on weekends, these adjustments would have shaved weeks off the installation. This is a two-person install, and if you are going to purchase this kit and you don't have evenly-spaced joists or a large beam for mounting then you'll need someone with a drill capable of cutting through heavy-grade steel.

This thing is definitely heavy duty; not easy to mount and line up the 2 sections. Great item though, works great once we got it set up! Glides nicely and the stoppers work well to hold it in one place. Unfortunately, the joists didn't match up with the area I wanted, so I had to improvise.

I made my purchase directly through Promountings so I might not be listed as a verified buyer. I have a basement gym with way too much equipment so organization is paramount. I found this Roller Mount Track Combo and it was the only possible solution for me because I didn't want a 150 lb. heavy bag permanently hanging in the middle of my space. I absolutely needed help hanging this because it is a substantial piece of equipment and I needed to install it at a right angle to my joists. The heavy bag can now nest against the wall and when in use I have the choice of locking it down or letting it move freely. I was so impressed with this I ordered the I-beam mounted speed bag which is perfect for an exposed I-beam I couldn't use for the heavy bag mount.Next purchase, 120 lb. Aqua Bag. And none of this takes up any floor space when not in use.
