I bought this for a 10 year old, and he loves it. He could operate it almost immediately. His siblings were standing in line to use it even before he used it. His father 'persuaded' him to let him use it before they left our home. His sister told me that he plays with it every night after coming home from school. He was able to fly it all the way across their property and back. Definitely a great purchase.

I have had several of the research helicopters and drones before. This is the best one I have seen. It works amazing. It hovers at about 4 feet when initiated.

My son bought this, flew it and then couldn’t charge the batteries because the charging port was not working correctly. We contacted the company and they quickly responded saying they would send us a replacement. It came within 3 days!!! My son is so happy!!!

This is a follow-up revision of a previous rating from several days ago. In it I said that if DEER could resolve the original issue (difficulty pairing) I would change the review. Their customer service was extremely helpful and followed up within 2 days and offered to ship a complete new Helicopter with controller free of charge. The helicopter is very solid and appears to be very well designed. The 2 Lithium batteries that they say will last for 10 minute flights are a real plus. The new helicopter will arrive in 5-6 days I've been told. I have confidence they will do as they promised. I am rating this right now as an overall 4 based on their response and and the expectation that it will work as good as it looks; with a 1 star deduction for the glitch. Otherwise it very well may have been a 5 star review.

The package arrived faster than I expected. It came in a small box that included everything advertised, all parts were present and accounted for. The instructions were very clear and the helicopter was easy to set up. The first flight was an indoor one and the helicopter maintains altitude properly, and the trim functions weren't even necessary because it came already calibrated. Very easy to control. The only issue that caused me any concern was that I took it outside and attempted to fly it. Don't do this if there is even the slightest breeze. The helicopter would be fine with a zero wind speed, but the slightest breeze caused it to veer off and I hit the side of my house. This is a tough little toy because it hit it pretty hard, and did no damage whatsoever other than a scratch. It's very durable. I switched it to high-speed mode and was able to fly it with the breeze, but this really is fundamentally an indoor toy. This is a great value for the money, came with an extra battery and I was able to fly it for around 20 minutes total which is great. I highly recommend this, this is a great starter drone for anyone wanting to get into this. The batteries recharged quickly and I have had no problems whatsoever. Highly recommended!

The heli I got was pretty durable and was able to survive a few nasty falls. The battery is easily swappable and it lasts for up to half an hour. It’s was easy to learn and the altitude control allowed my 4 and 7 year old nephews to easily play around with it. Safe to say the gift was much enjoyed.

This was a great buy. It works perfectly and is very easy to learn and very fun.
