Brittany SP106 Single Pt. Knitting Needles 10" -Size 6/4mm

I prefer wooden Brittney needles to all others I’ve tried—and I’ve tried A LOT! I like their long sloped points to shorter stubby tipped needles as I knit in the continental style. I have some Brittney walnut needles I’ve had for over thirty years and love using them to this day. They just feel nice in my hands. Using quality tools makes knitting such a joy. Highly recommend!

Brittany sp 4 mm needles, Birch. Instantly fell in love with these. They are straight and true with just the perfect wee bit of flex if needed. Beautifully worked, not overly smooth. I’m currently knitting a baby alpaca/Merino/nylon Wonderfluff yarn and the glide on the needles is perfect. They are warm, strong, and long enough that you can establish quite a decent length of pattern before transferring to circular interchangeables (I use Knit Pick Sunstruck , available on Amazon or Knit Picks direct for Interchangeable needles. ) After 3 years of converting to wooden needles, I still marvel how much more comfortable (& esthetically pleasing!) they are vs old cold aluminium!!!!!! I recommend these wonderful wooden needles without reservation.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: When knitting lace patterns and some cable patterns, I don’t want the yarn to slide off the needles and drop the stitch I’m working on. Thus I choose a wooden knitting needle. These don’t catch the yarn at the other end (and wind around the finial.) The birch is smooth in your hands AND they’re made in the US, therefore back up time is less.

These are pretty and very smooth, almost exactly what I wanted. The darker ones are my favorites, though. They just don't come in the sizes that I prefer. The darker ones are just too long, but much prettier. I will never buy from another company unless forced to do so. I prefer "Made in the USA", but will settle for "Made in Japan". I do not like "Made in China" at all anymore. So these are especially nice as the are "Made in the USA". Brittany is now my company of choice for knitting needles

I love these needles! They’re lightweight and grip the yarn perfectly so I don’t lose my stitches. They are a great value for the money. This beginner learned to knit on these needles.
