I don't have any tattoo but I love the artworks and all the meanings around tattoos. I really enjoyed reading this book and learning more about symbolism in tattoo art.

Body art is not dissimilar to marmite, you either love it or hate it. This product will be a great gift idea for those considering their first tattoo, considering the next one, or just a decent and interesting read on what to some people may be a niche subject. I'd doubt those that wish to design their own tattoo will attempt to utilise the basic ideas within, but that wasn't the objective, they will at least be able to find out what the meanings of a particular animal etc were, before going ahead with a thorough design and procedure then regretting it's meaning later. This book is a hardback, it's beautifully illustrated and most basic designs are included and explained, it's an interesting read, even for the non body art fan and makes for an unusual gift idea for those that are considering or have already. Recommended
