Good little mic for Vlogging.
I bought this mic at the same time as a Rode Video Mic Me ($59). My wife and I tested both mics to compare sound quality for vlogging with our iPhones. This mic is equal to, if not better than, the Rode Video Mic Me, in most circumstances. The one situation that it isn't is in rooms that have some reverberation. The Rode Video Mic Me was able to cancel most of that out because of its directional mic. This mic was superior to the iPhone's built in mic in all situations we tested in (quiet room, noisy restaurant, outside)Pros:InexpensiveEasy to use (plug and play)No crackle or popping from data usage while phone is on (not the case with the Rode Video Mic Me)Good boost to overall sound qualityComes with a simple but nice carrying pouch.Cons:It's corded which is a minor annoyance. So for slightly less than $16, you get a heck of a little mic that will greatly increase the audio quality of your smartphone. It gets five stars for exceeding my expectations.

Blogging in crowds has never sounded better!
If you make videos of any kind where you are the only one talking, this mic is a must buy!Whether your making videos for facebook, snapchat, blogs, youtube, this mic is great when used the right way. Be warned, this is a tiny little lapel mic. This is not a good mic if you want something to attach to your camera and pick up sound for the whole room. However, if you want to make a blog video in a busy convention hall and you want to make sure you are heard on the video and everyone else is background noise, this thing will make your day.I ended up using it in 2 ways. First, I would have it attached to the collar of my shirt but under my jacket collar. Then I had the cord running down my jacket sleeve to my phone. I was able to take all the video I wanted on my phone and because of the position of the mic, I was all you could hear. The second way I used it was by connecting it to my Sony mirrorless camera. I had a splitter hooked to the camera and I had my studio mic on one connection and this thing on the other. I was able to conduct interviews from behind the camera with the camera facing the interviewees the whole time. I was only able to do this because my voice was being picked up on a separate source that wasnt getting any noise except for my own voice. Also, I did not have to yell or anything to get the studio mic to pick me up because I had my own microphone.I am sure I will come across many more applications for this little guy over time. I have only had it for about a week now.

High Quality - Reasonable Price
upon opening the unit I was immediately impressed with the construction of the clip that holds the lapel microphone to your clothes. it is a high quality High tensile strength steel and is in no danger of breaking throughout the life of the unit. be that as it may they went ahead and sent a second one with it that I noticed down in the handy carrying case. they also sent a second microphone cover which is great. upon testing the unit on my Galaxy S7 and using the speech to text app I noticed right off that I didn't have to speak very loud for it to hear me. I was also impressed that the microphone seemed to improve the accuracy of the speech to text app on correctly interpreting my speech. taking into account the performance and solid Construction and reasonable price I would recommend it to anybody needing a lapel microphone.

Nice quality for the price
Microphone comes with a cord that is about 4.5 feet, so the added length is nice. The microphone clip is made of metal, not cheap plastic that will break easy. The microphone can also be taken out of the clip if the clip if needed. The package comes with an extra clip and microphone cover. The sound quality is great for the price. I used on an iPod and iPhone and it works well. Since you position it closer to your mouth, you can speak quieter. This is perfect in those situations where you want to take voice notes, but you do not want everyone to hear what you say. My daughter also used it for her YouTube video as well, and she likes since she can position the microphone closer to her without having to compromised the location of her iPad that is recording video.

Pleasantly Surprised.
To be honest with you, I was a little skeptical about this mic, i was expecting a cheap piece of plastic, but figured anything would beat the build in mic in my phone.first off, I was pleased to see it came in a carry case and also had a spare mic sock ( for wind i assume) and a spare clip.when i tested it out I was impressed with the sound quality. a lot of times in the little videos i make the sound is either to low or it became distorted or hollow sounding when i used my phone mic. but using this the sound is clean and clear.looking at the quality it looks like this one will hold up good and im looking forward to using it more.

the sound it captured was amazing. I plugged it into my cell phone and ...
Although I was doubtful that this product would perform as it states based on its price, I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. Although I've only tested this item with my cell phone, the sound it captured was amazing. I plugged it into my cell phone and walked approx 20 feet away talking in an average to soft tone voice for about 20 seconds, and everything I said was captured clearly. I bought a recorder from a store to try it with. I plugged the device into the mic outlet, but for some reason it did not work. I do believe that in this case the problem was with the recorder as it worked beautifully.

Great for Dictation!
This is a great microphone! I use it with my Android phone to take notes. As a IT Professional I am constantly working with many devices every day. So I use my phone to take pictures of model and Serial numbers of the equipment, and use a voice to text to keep notes throughout the day. The lapel mic is small and convenient to wear all day. And the mic works great for recording my voice while blocking most of the background noise. I also like the length of the cord is about 3 foot. The is a good length for running under my shirt and plugging into my phone. My daughter has already stole it from me a few times to make her video's for her vblog. I can tell a real difference in the sound quality with and without the mic.
