Purchased this for our IPE Patio I used the Cleaner and Brightener first then used this Stain. Our Patio looks brand new, absolutely amazing. This is a must if you want to protect your IPE wood Patio. Even the part of the Patio not covered is renewed love this stain.Fast delivery and well packaged.

This is a high quality deck flooring finishing oil which restores the best look of the Ipe deck wood. Unfortunately, as with all staining or preservation oils for wood decks, the great appearance is only going to last for 2 years at best. After 2 years at best you have to do it all over again. That is the price you pay for Ipe wood decks if you want them to always look their best. At 90 years of age, this routine is getting old for me! We use Sikkens marine finish on table tops and all outdoor furniture and the varnished look lasts for years. I’d use it on my decks because it really holds its look for years, but the lovely red hue of the Ipe wood would turn to a yellowish finish; a shame to cover the Ipe.

Our once a year care for our ipê wood. Works beautifully. A little smelly so wear a mask. Easy to use and long lasting. Works !

Here’s the skinny. 5 year old Cumaru wood table. Located in south Florida, exposed to hellish sun and ball soaking humidity all year. Did I mention biblical daily downpours when were not in an Africa like dry season? So you get the picture. Florida id tough on outdoor furniture of any kind.Step 1, sanded the table with 80 grain paper to remove the top oxidized layer of wood. When complete sanded it all again with 120 grain to keep it smooth.Step 2. Applied Ipe oil with a paint brush. Applied liberally, slathered it on.Step 3 let it sit for 20 minutes and soak in, then take a rag and wipe off the excess.Lastly, reapplied an hour later, let it soak in again and wiped excess.Please with how it looks. Curious to see how long the waterproof properties last.

The dock is located in East Tennessee and exposed to lots of strong sun and rain. The beautiful stain color will stay for 3-5 months in the most sun exposed locations. Then the wood transitions to gray.The oil is easy to apply, I tend to use a brush to help get between the boards better.The stain goes about the 200-300 square foot per can, in heavily weathered areas.I also wear a respirator. The VOCs are strong and prefer to not breath them in. Try to avoid getting it on your hand too (I wear long rubber gloves). The oil is very difficult to get off your skin and will retain a smell for a day or two. Best to just not get it on you.

I bought it for Ipe wood boards and worked perfectly well. No smell VOC it's an A+.

Great product for EPI wood. Easy to apply but keep stiring frequently to keep the oil & pigment consistently mixed.

When it stops stinking there is nothing left. No way am I applying this 3-4 times a year even if it didn't stink.
