YOU WILL LOSE AM/FM RADIO IN YOUR RAV 4 COMPLETELY! UPDATED July 24th, 2021
I love absolutely everything about this head unit EXCEPT that Dasaita sent a batch of these out with the antenna pins set up backwards (see picture). Amazon was kind enough to send me a replacement unit in hopes that this was an isolated incident, but it's NOT, the replacement connector in the new unit was set up the same way.I will upgrade this rating to five stars if someone from Dasaita contacts me or provides a solution. I cannot find an adapter anywhere. I seen someone else here had the same issue. I have a 2019 RAV 4 XLE just in case you are wondering. In the meantime this is going back to Amazon soon if I still can't get a hold of Dasaita support. At this point I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS unless you don't care about not having your local radio stations._______________________________________________________________________________July 5th, 2021 - I upgraded from one to two stars as I was finally able to get a hold of Dasaita support. They have promised to send me a replacement cable with the correct pin placement. I will update this review again IF/WHEN I receive the cable and IF it is correct the star rating will be updated to four stars, possibly five stars.July 24th, 2021 - Dasaita came through! They shipped me a brand new cable bundle that had the pin in the correct place on the connector, so now the radio works like a champ! I have upgraded this from 2 stars to five stars as I am very impressed with how Dasaita handled this. It's unfortunate that this got by their quality assurance, but they made it right. Thank you Dasaita!

So far so... Not great? (Updated)
I was excited to install this unit to upgrade my audio. After replacing all my speakers and installing a sub, this was to be the last part of the upgrade process.Unfortunately amazon shipped me a open box unit with one of the wiring harnesses missing (the rca outputs for the sub/amp)I contacted Amazon and they are sending a replacement. It will be interesting to see what the differences are. This unit did not have the vivid launcher on it yet. I was able to install it and that was a big upgrade. Audio is overall vastly improved. Im an audio engineer and this one makes me happyish.Pros:Good audio quality while its playingLarger screenSupports wireless Android auto (unlisted feature!)Great customizationCons:Poor fit and finish, had to do the trick listed in several youtubers videos where you lower the unit by one screw and then it goes togetherLack of screws connecting unit to dash, its all clips now. Would like to have seen a screw in bracket of some kindNot ready to work out of the box, back up camera was disabled. Had to find a YouTube video to show me where its burried in the factory settings - other tab.Older android os, would love to see an update to Android 11Lack of built in sim card slot. I bought a aftermarket adapter, will see how that works out.Hissing sound comes out of speakers when no apps are playing sounds. Its really quiet, but since my car is a hybrid it is quiet enough to hear the hissing. Will try the replacement unit Amazon is sending and see if it still hisses. No HDMI output like the listing. I wasn't planning to use it. But its a listed feature all the same.***Update***Received actually new unit from Amazon. I dont think the seller knew that Amazon shipped an open box.New unit actually has the losted hdmi port and the rca output harness that was missing. The audio actually also sounds cleaner for whatever reason. After upgrading it to the latest firmware and installing nova launcher its fantastic.I upped my review to 4 stars for this reason.I still dont like that it doesn't use any screws to connect to the dash or that i have to move the unit down a hole on the bracket loosing two of those screws. But it works and it seems secure enough. After driving around in bright sun I will say that the glare isnt too bad, but i wish the panel was brighter. I also wish it had a light sensor so it could auto adjust itself.

Not very useful
Using this on a 2019 Rav4 with an android phone. The interface is not visually appealing (it's black with neon blue and blue text so it's kinda hard to see something and bright). Had to download an app that let's me change the interface. Was not able to add my contact information so I don't know who's calling unless I check my phone. Can connect via Bluetooth, but have to connect via cable to screen share or whatnot. The backup camera is a bit grainy but still good and has a wide vision range. And the quality of my radio dropped along compared to the original stereo.

Significant Improvement for 2019 Rav4 Hybrid Limited with JBL speakers
Got this head unit for my 2019 Rav4 Hybrid Limited with JBL speakers and it works great overall (including with the sub-woofer without any additional setup steps), though it took a bit of fiddling with it to get things working very nicely:1. Do not install Chrome or WebView updates. If you did, you can/should go into settings and uninstall updates for these or you will experience crashes in any apps that use WebViews (which is a lot, including many Google apps like Assistant and Google Account Settings)2. The volume was way too loud by default; even a volume of 3 was rather loud by default --- luckily you can change this in "Factory Settings" menu. It's hidden, though, on the "Other" tab of that menu --- there is a volume adjustment there which I set to the maximum -15db, which helped quite a bit.3. Re-mapping steering wheel buttons did not work initially. It required me to switch a setting in the Factory Settings related to "Setting wheel button type" --- I switched it to the Can-bus setting. Then, steering wheel remapping setting worked. And a couple other tricks:When accessing the factory settings screen, the "normal" password is 126. There are also some additional passwords you can enter into the factory settings password dialog to get interesting results. Of particular interest to me was "adbon" which enables developer options. In developer options, there is a toggle for enabling TCPIP-based ADB which is equivalent to having connected via cable and running "adb tcpip 5555" and means you can wirelessly ADB connect to the head unit without needing to ever use a cable.I also found that some applications, after installing from play store, refuse to uninstall. That is, if you try to uninstall them, they cause the system to crash and reboot, and then the app is still installed upon reboot. I found a way to uninstall these troublesome apps without needing to factory reset the device: use ADB to get to a shell on the device and then use the package manager to uninstall the problematic packages. For instance, "adb shell" -> "pm list packages" (to find the package you want to uninstall) -> "pm uninstall -k --user 0 [your package name here]". Notably, the more typical "adb uninstall [package name]" did not work for me. Had to use package manager directly.Anyways, overall it's a fantastic upgrade from the stock head unit --- having what is basically a full android tablet experience with integration with the car's controls is wonderful. Without any additional setup or harnesses beyond what was included in the box: JBL speakers worked as desired, steering wheel buttons work, rear camera works, and even the USB in the tray area under the AC still work as an apple carplay port for the new headunit. Wireless Android auto works well too! Wired Android Auto works via the additional USB ports that the unit comes with, though not through the car's built-in port.I've taken off one star for the odd behavior around chrome/webview updates and because when the device is using 2.4 GHz WiFi there is a tiny bit of electrical noise that leaks to the speakers if you listen carefully while the car is standing still in a quiet place. Luckily, my phone's hotspot supports a 5 GHz mode, and the noise is significantly less perceptible when connected to 5 GHz wifi. But still, I regret not buying this thing sooner. It is miles better than the stock headunit experience.
