if you live in an apartment and you don't want to damage cabinets or drawers, these will be your best friend. they work awesome and your kid cannot get in whatever you're hoping to keep closed!

Would have given 5 stars if I wouldn't have had to add wood pieces to the inside of each of my cabinets to get these to work

You get what you pay for. These are cheap low quality versions of the magnetic locks installed by most baby proofing companies. I am a nanny so I have used every kind of child safety product imaginable and when I saw these I thought I had found a great bargain. My husband spent the better part of an afternoon installing the locks exactly as the instructions directed and they seemed to be great, that is until our 15 month old walked into the living room this morning carrying one in his hand. The lock had literally fallen off. These locks do not work and they are not safe!

We tried to stick the hools on to the cabinets and it did not work that well. Maybbe had our cabinet been wood or painted it may have adhered to the surface.

These are easy to install and easy to use. You have a magnet that unlocks the lock. You do not have to have any tools to install. I would purchase these again.
