One of a Kind Product ......
You can shave or you can epilate. What's the difference? Epilation pulls the hair and root (usually) out -providing a smoother, cleaner, longer lasting hairless experience. Most people fear the "pain", but when it comes down to it, there really isn't much. If you are a wimp, just take a couple of Tylenol 30 minutes prior. Compared to shaving - with cuts, nicks and irritation - epilation is a far better choice. I have used this product for epilation for 20 years and as the years go by, the hair eventually does not grow back. So I no longer have growing hair on arms, underarms, legs etc. This product works on all body areas. No soap, water or mess. Travels neatly. The disadvantage, these units do not last forever, I have bought at least 6 of them in 20 years. This company is the best in making epilation products, so don't trust your skin to anyone else.

Love this thing
2nd purchase. The first one found its way to parts unknown in the house and refuses to show up. Patty, because it worked very well for 14 years and I am sure would still do, when it re-appears. So I HAD to get another one! I love it, it's the easiest, fastest and most effective depilator I have ever used.

Stopped working February 24th.
I've purchased many of these before with no problems. This one seemed used, perhaps refurbished. The box was very tattered when I got it on December 23rd. It was slightly misaligned which scratched my legs unless I held it at only one particular angle. It didn't remove hair as fast or easily as the others I've purchased. Too late to return it as it's past the 30 day window. This one was a waste of money, but I'll be a bit more cautious when I order another one regarding tattered packaging and not working as well as all the others. They do wear out after a while, but usually several years, not 60 days.

Most powerful epilator
This is my 2nd emjoy epilator. The first lasted many many years, at least 7. The plug that plugs into the unit started failing, and it would start and stop. Don't know why they just don't sell it corded. When mine needed to be replaced, I bought a Braun, because it had good reviews and was a little less expensive. Only when I used the Braun did I realize how much I missed my emjoy. The emjoy is night and day different with the amount of power and the amount of tweezers. It works faster, more efficient than any other epilator I've owned. I only epilate, haven't shaved in years. Hair still comes in, but it's sparser, thinner, and just takes about 5 minutes with the emjoy about once a week or so. I love that it's corded. If you're in the marker for an epilator, don't even waste money buying something else.

Gets the job done
I had the 1st generation of this epilator for about 10 years and absolutely loved it. I replaced it because the older version was starting to slow down and was not as efficient at removing the hairs. This version seems to be very "rough" and leaves my skin a little irritated after each session (epilator heads do not seem to be completely smooth). The epilator does not glide smoothly over my skin like the first version and it tends to stop if I apply pressure. It gets the job done, but I'm not as happy with it as I was with the older version.

Love/Hate relationship
First... I am a male who grooms/manscape... my back, lower stomach, underarms and trim around the package. This will hurt like a sun-of-a-gun the firs time you use it. Try ibuprofen and Tylenol an hour before... even sunburn spray (let it soak in for 10 minutes, then wash it off). The second time you do this it will be better (3-4 weeks later), but still... After that it no longer hurts, in fact hair grows back thinner over time, and on my back, has almost been permanently eliminated (I wasn't expecting this). What I like: It doesn't hurt like most competing products (my wife and I have tried them). It has lots of tweezers... which speed up the process (and limits the time you are uncomfortable). It fits well in my hand and gets easily into most nooks and crannies. Make sure that you wash off (with plain soap) and dry before you start. Any lotions/oils or fancy soap residue will limit the ability for the tweezers to grip and work. Once you are done, get some of those rough shower exfoliating gloves and use them on the areas to reduce the possibility of ingrown hairs. What I don't like... I buy a new one about every year and a half or two. There is a nylon gear inside the assembly that wears down, and they don't offer a replacement part. Having said that, since this works so much better than competitors, it is well worth the recurring replacement.

Hidden instructions and not that great. Hair breaks, not lift and pulled
This is at best “meh”. I give it a “C-“ at best. There are several on the market for the same price which perform much better and are cordless. The instructions on the back were translated into English so terminology and sentence structure are odd. There are several at the same price which are wireless. The Amazon feedback asked me to rate the light feature. What light feature? There is no guiding light to help see hair removed. The biggest drawback is during operation, the dual heads will fight which direction to take the hair removal path. It wants to go where it wants and the dual heads conflict with an easy to maintain path. The result = 50% hair was pulled and 50% were broken pieces left behind. It does require multiple passes and even then, broken hair is still present vs completely pulled hair. The most alarming part? What is hidden on the back? If a manufacturer applies a “white out” tape to hide something on the box, what else are they hiding? What was poorly manufactured? Save your money and don’t waste your time.

Not most powerful and design makes certain areas difficult. Found when searching for Braun upgrade but not as good.
