I love Liquitex Basics paint.
I love Liquitex Basics paint. The quality is good at a reasonable price. Ideal for amateurs and students alike. Usually I stick to primary colours, but being lazy, I decided to try out Hooker's green and burnt sienna just to save time when mixing. Very pleased with the results. I overlay and wet-mix a lot and the mixing results are pleasing. Liquitex Basics are always consistent and dry well. This is the 118 ml tube but generally I prefer the 250ml for cost effectiveness.

Good buy
Beautiful blush tone which is slightly richer than the picture suggests. Nice quality, easy to paint with, not too thick, just the right texture.

Lovely colour. Tube Lasts forever!
I got this For an art project for my daughter. I thought we only needed a little bit, but we ended up needing quite a bit more... But I needn't to worry, this tube is massive! The colour is absolutely gorgeous. It's a really deep vibrant blue that works perfectly for nighttime skies or deep oceans. It mixes perfectly with other acrylics to change the tone. I found that mixing it with green made for some lovely River colours.. Although acrylic is water soluble, it can stick quite strongly into clothing, so I would recommend giving kids a pinny before using it. Acrylics stick well to many things, but I found that when I painted it onto smooth plastic, it was quite easy to scratch off... So I've now found that you're supposed to prepare smooth a plastics before you paint acrylics onto them. This acrylic paint is no different. I added a layer of mod podge onto the top in order to keep it sealed and to stop it being scratchable. Given how much paint there is in this tube, it's great value for money and it means that you're not constantly looking out for wastage so you can just get on and have fun with the project.

Contains MBIT. May produce an allergic reaction.
No AP seal on tube that arrived today. On reverse in many languages it stated "Contains MBIT. May produce an allergic reaction.". If you're trying to avoid 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT), Methylisothiazolinone (MIT) or the combined MBIT, then be aware of this labelling. Not stated in Amazon listing unlike for some other makes of paint. Apart from that it appears to be a very good paint.

Best budget black
Mars Black is one of the blackest budget blacks I've tried. I used it to paint the back of my acrylic fish tank and it covered well enough in 1 coat and jet black in 2 coats.

good quality for the price
I use this paint for gelli print, and is much better quality than a lot of other cheaper acrylics.
