Awesome whistler
This is exactly what I was looking for. We use this in our motorhome on a countertop induction cook surface and this has a flat bottom which works great. The whistle is loud and clear. The quality is plain to see and more importantly, feel. I can hear it whistle from the other end of the motorhome. It is much better than the Mr. Coffee version I bought at first.The only thing that I don't care too much about (and this is really minor) is that when pouring the boiling water out, my hand gets warmed by the steam. Not enough to burn or anything, but enough for me to notice. But I think this would happen on the majority of tea pots with this general shape.I love it and will replace if it I ever kill this one (I don't think I will wear it out, but it is in a motorhome where accidents sometimes happen and things get broken or crushed unexpectedly).

Works with induction -- great kettle
Bought this two years ago for use with new induction range. It works! It's been used pretty much daily for more than two years, with none of the problems that others mention. The only thing is: the purple coating melted off in one spot, a bit bigger than a quarter. I think I must have put a super-hot pan right up against it once. (It lives on the stovetop, so if that's all it takes, I'm surprised it doesn't have a lot more than one little bare patch, because I think it gets knocked by hot pans all the time. Must have been an unusual situation, but I don't remember anymore what happened.)

Not bad
Love this because it is easy to hold, no burns! Easy to take off lid and clean inside, but exterior color will be removed with brillo.

Tea Kettle
I bought this tea kettle because it is induction ready. It works perfect on my induction plate. It looks like it has stripes in the picture but it is a beautiful solid purple color.

Great quality, beautiful color, with subtle changes depending on the angle it's being viewed from - I feel silly reviewing a teakettle, but this one is superb. Highly recommended.
