Hard of hearing? Then get one of these!
This is the second one I've bought in 10-years. The first one just stopped working, but my original earphones also work with my new unit.

TV Ears fell short
I recently purchased the TV Ears with high hopes of enhancing my television viewing experience. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. From the moment I unpacked the product, it was clear that something was wrong. The TV Ears simply did not work.Perplexed, I reached out to customer service, hoping for a quick solution. After a lengthy troubleshooting session, they determined that the rechargeable battery was dead. I couldn't help but feel frustrated and let down. How could a brand-new product arrive with a defective battery?I expected a higher level of quality from TV Ears, considering the positive reviews I had come across. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of my expectations. Not only did the product fail to function out of the box, but the inconvenience of having to deal with customer service made matters worse. While I appreciate the efforts of the customer service representative, it's disheartening that such a fundamental flaw went unnoticed during the quality control process. As a customer, I expect products to be thoroughly tested before they are sent out for sale.In the end, the TV Ears left me with a sour taste and a significant letdown. It's a shame because I was genuinely looking forward to enjoying clearer audio while watching my favorite shows. However, based on my experience, I cannot recommend TV Ears to others unless significant improvements are made to their quality control and overall product reliability.I hope my review serves as a cautionary tale for potential buyers who, like me, value functional and reliable products.

We Can Hear Unencumbered
We have used t.v. ears for years. The old set fizzed out and we needed another.

Listening with no disturbance to others
No hearing problems. Product is great for listening to favorite programs at any time of day or night without disturbing others. Also, family members can listen to other televisions in the household at the same time without the sounds competing against each other. Setup took some experimentation before the unit worked properly, but once it did, the results were worth the effort.

LINE OF SIGHT INFRARED
SECOND ONE WORKS OK. FIRST ONE DEVELOPED FEEDBACK NOISE, RETURNED. NOTE! LINE OF SITE APPEARS TO BE INFRARED AND NOT RADIO. IF THE CHARGER UNIT IS NOT FACING HEAD SET YOU GET A LOT OF NOISE. IF YOU WALK AWAY AND THERE IS VALL BETWEEN YOU AND CHARGER UNIT YOU GET NOTHING BUT NOISE.

I don’t get lost in the plot now that I can hear!
Ok, so I have to recommend a product because I know I’m not the only one who sometimes can’t understand what people are saying on the TV. I have had partial hearing loss in both ears for years due to nerve damage. One was from firing a gun when I was in high school without ear protection and immediately my ear popped and has been RINGING ever since at a frequency that would make the neighborhood dogs howl if they could hear it. And the other is probably because I like to listen to my music LOUD in my car while jamming to my tunes with the windows down and the wind blowing through my short hair. It’s like a Peppermint Patty commercial and Freebird experience combined for me. Anyway, I have problems hearing certain tones and voices so when it comes to hearing the TV I get lost in the plot before it ever really gets started good.I have hearing aids but they only elevate ALL of the sound around me so that doesn’t work. Yes I know hearing aids have improved and they can block out that sound but my insurance no longer covers hearing aids. When watching TV I get lost in the plot before it ever gets started good because I miss what half of the people are saying. I ask John, “What did they just say?” and he pauses the TV and explains to me what’s happening. I am quite sure that’s annoying for him. BUT....my life just changed when I got TV Ears!!They are wireless ear buds that fit in your ears and they are for listening to the TV. You can have the TV set at any volume for everyone else or none and adjust the volume for your TV Ears. The clarity is magnificent!! My only problem that I have with these is that I now enjoy catching up on seasons of The Blacklist that I will sit in my recliner for hours! We bought my 87 year old father in law a pair and gave it to him while visiting him for the weekend. My husband woke up at 3am and found him sitting in the recliner with his TV EARS on enjoying a program on TV. Perfect birthday gift for him!(This is not a paid endorsement for TV EARS)
