Is this solid stainless steel or metal coated with stainless? Tired of scoops that pit and peel. I don't even have a dishwasher so I hand wash.

No water doesn’t get into my handle. It is well made and there is a tight junction between the spoon end and the handle

Is this scoop actually 4" wide as shown in the photo?

No, the scoop head dimensions are 1 5/8 inch by 2 1/4 inch. The length of the scoop and neck is 3 1/4 inch with the handle length of 4 inch. This size is adequate for scooping hard ice cream. A larger scoop would take a lot of effort.

Does the stainless steel go down all the way through the handle, is it 18/10 stainless??
