Best boots I have ever had! Very comfortable!
I've always been a loyal Caterpillar boot guy and many of them lasted years. My biggest problem is that I wear out the toe of the boot pretty quickly and the last pair of Caterpillars that I had the soles wore out way too fast. A few people at work have Keen's and spoke highly of them. I landscape in the summer and work at a ski area in the winter so fining a boot that I can wear year round can be quite tricky.Pros:-They are extremely comfortable right out of the box. It's like they are already broken in. No double socks, no rubbing.-Excellent shock absorption, my knees usually hurt after a 12 hour day, so far so good here.-Great traction in snow, inside, wet areas and pavement-The soles don't freeze. After being outside for an hour in -10 degrees weather my Caterpillars would freeze and become really slick.-They are very warm for not being insulated.-Fit extremely well, I wear an 11 wide and they fit great.-Thick soles, I don't think I will wear through them anytime soon.-Excellent durability, feel and quality!Cons-I wish the laces were just a tad longer. It is only an issue when tying them with winter gloves on.Overall these boots are the best I have had right from the get go. They feel great and so far have performed in every situation I have been in. I will update my review after a few months of use.

Great boots
Fit great and comfy. A bit heavy but they are steel toe after all.

Great, durable, waterproof boots, but insole is disappointing.
Bought these for work. I'm a mechanic in an industrial Bakery. My job requires a lot of walking, climbing, and crawling under equipment. I bought these because the quality of Duluth Trading Co.'s Grindstone boots seemed to be slipping. So far I am very happy with these boots, they fit well, and the lacing lugs grip the laces so you can adjust the fit just right when you lace them up (i.e.: looser on the bottom set but tight at the top). The only issue 've had with fit and comfort is that the included insole wasn't comfortable (I'm also 6'8" and 300+ lbs. when I'm carrying my tools for work, your mileage may vary), I bought a pair of custom insoles from Red Wing and haven't had any problems since. They are waterproof and have worked well. They held up to being sprayed and splashed with water as well as walking through standing water without a problem. I've also worn them while walking around in snow and slush and my feet stayed dry and warm, and didn't slip on anything except smooth, solid ice. These boots seem very durable. I LOVE the heavy rubber toe cap. I have to crawl under and around machinery, and I tend to drag my toes. The top of the toe box usually starts to get visibly worn after a few weeks and will wear down to the safety toe in about 6 months, but so far the rubber toe on these boots is hardly showing any wear after 2 months.Side note: I ordered these and 2 other pairs of work boots with Prime Wardrobe, I was very satisfied with the whole experience, and being able to try them on was great, especially since I wear a size 14 and boots can be hard to find.

Comfortable
Bought a second pair. They are comfortable and meet the requirements of the railroad. Will probably buy a 3rd pair if still available. I have a high arch.

Best boots I've bought
Extra wide they mean Xtra. I have a very wide foot, most Xtra wide boots are not wide enough. Iv had to return so many pair because their not wide enough. This is my second pair. Very comfortable very durable. I'm rough on boots at work they get wet an beat up. My last pair lasted almost a year. There's still life left in them tho.As to where other name brand boots have been lucky to last 6 months with no life left. Highly recommended !!

A cautionary tale of wet feet!
WARNING: This boot is not waterproof. There is a waterproof version of this boot called Milwaukee WP. This boot has many good qualities, but I discovered that one of it's downfalls is the fact that it is NOT built to be waterproof. The reason I am giving this boot 1 star is because I reasonably assumed that this boot was waterproof considering its cost and application. Who buys a heavy duty work-boot that isn't waterproof? Apparently I was fooled. When I contacted Keen regarding my wet feet, they told me the wet boots were not covered under warranty because they are not advertised as being waterproof, nor designed and built as waterproof. I responded with the boot's description that they use on their website: "Twelve-hour days, tough jobs and rugged terrain - the Milwaukee 6” boot can take on anything. Built tougher than a Wisconsin winter, it utilizes the new patent-pending KEEN.Welt’s incredibly durable, flexible construction. This boot hangs in for the long haul!Protecting toes one shoe at a time. ™"So this boot is built tougher than a Wisconsin winter, yet my feet were totally soaked in a mild Michigan winter. Keen still denied my warranty claim. Thankfully Amazon allowed me to return the boots. Thank you Amazon, you are the best! What else.. the laces both broke during the first month of wear and Keen told me they were not covered under warranty, and then directed me to another department who proceeded to replace the laces anyway. What's good about the boot? It's very comfortable and can be worn all day. But if you work outside, save yourself the trouble and buy the "WP" waterproof version.
