These sound incredible once I figured how to properly set these up and let them have a bit more break-in time.After watching tons of reviews and reading comments, I got sucked into the hype and purchased the XT20’s. When I first set them up, I didn’t like them at all. I felt they sounded congested. I was thinking that there was a possible crossover issue. They were mediocre and pedestrian sounding. I was super disappointed. After a few days of demoing these speakers, I boxed them up and put them in my closet.I recently took them and I figured I would set them up and try again. This time I watched some reviews again more intently. I am an analog listener and don’t use DSP software or any apps to use with my system. I guess I am old school in that regard. It doesn’t mean I don’t follow reviewers that use DSP. After watching a “Joe N Tell,” video about these speakers, he said something in the lines that this speaker is okay out of the box. The purpose of the video was to show that these speakers when using EQ and DSP can sound like a much more expensive speaker which didn’t think of tweaking with initially. I am not against EQ, so after hooking them back into my system and making some adjustments (mainly lowering the treble and the bass a smidge), I couldn’t believe this was the same speaker. The congestion in the upper mid range and treble was gone. This was an entirely different speaker.This is an awesome speaker especially for the price. However, to get the most out of this speaker, you need to manually EQ or use DSP.There are speakers on the market that I’ve tried that don’t need EQ to sound decent so I am knocking it down a star. However, I believe if I equalized those other speakers , they probably wouldn’t sound as good or be as fun to play as the XT20’s. These are a keeper.If you have a system that has the ability to align the sound frequencies, then this is no brainer, buy these. The value ratio is too good.

So I am not an audiophile. I do like good sounding music though. And I am of the age that I remember simply epic amplifiers, speakers and stereos in just about everybody's houses. In my own house in the 80s and 90s, you could crank the music so loud and it would nearly deafen you, and that's with what my mom had bought at the local electronics store.Fast forward to today and we have nothing of that caliber. The soundbar is the closest thing to a home stereo system. AI assistants pump out OK sounding endless shuffles, vaguely in the direction you are feeling.So I made it my job to change that. I bought a decent turntable, a troubling amount of vinyl and an ... ok all-in-one amp+speaker system. I'm not going to name it, but it was lackluster to say the least.It got me yearning for that literal blast from the past. The boom of bass and that wall of sound. Did I find it in my XT20s? Yeah I did. It rocks.First, these things can get loud, good news there. They have larger woofers, 6.5" and they make noise. No, these aren't 12" subs on the floor like the old days, but on the other hand, they are lighter and look pretty cool.Setting it up? Well, pretty easy to attach speaker wire, but the road to here was long. You need an amp and preamp, turntable, these speakers. But my music sounds good again though; the house thumps. I put on music for the family like the old days. I'm very happy with the purchase.For those audiophiles who don't love just the "feels". I did do a lot of youtube research to find the best bang for the buck. I know there's other good brands out there, but let's just agree that this is one of them too. It's also super easy to find a sale and the are delivered quickly. I love the look and they make nice sounding noise. Easy recommend.

Easy to setup, using as surround sound and it has made my home theatre come to life!!! Great price and quality!

Fantastic. Hard to justify the next step up. Can listen to for hours with no fatigue. You also really don't need a separate subwoofer. Paired with one you have an amazing setup. Using this with a dayton sub and xt center channel.

I use these as my main speakers. Very balanced tonal quality. Very good bass for its size.

Great speakers, well built at a reasonable price and even better when on sale. Treble and bass are well maintained even at high volume. Surprisingly there is a lot of bass from these speakers even on the lower end Hz range, and can compliment any AVR with or without a subwoofer. Highly recommend this speakers either as a 2.0 set-up or as front or rear surrounds in a 5.1+ set-up.

Las estrené con un Fosi BT30D Pro junto con un sub Polk PSW10 y un DAC genérico desde mi Bravia y el sonido fue espectacular de inmediato, ¡cero rodaje! Sonido brillante pero con los bajos muy notables, MUY, incluso apagué el sub y ¡prácticamente no hacía falta! La prueba es la del video.Después conecté mi torna que tiene preamp integrado y hubo algo de incompatibilidad que nunca descifré, parecía que algo entraba en corto... no quise arriesgar así que no lo intenté más.Finalmente recibí mi AVR Onkyo de servicio y al conectar la Bravia con un DAC SMSL PS200 y un sub pasivo Onkyo de 5"... ¡wow! Una definición exquisita en todas la frecuencias, tan cálido como un setup analógico de alta gama sin perder esa brillantez que caracteriza al audio digital. Al conectar la torna con su preamp (estoy por comprar un externo para mejorar el sistema)... ¡uffff! Una calidez espectacular pero sin perder ni distorsionar los altos, los twitters son una chulada.Sin duda el Fosi tiene un desempeño muy distinto en los bajos, por lo que el Onkyo pasivo puede quedar corto, más por su tamaño, en este sistema según el género musical o películas, así que pronto regresaré el activo a la sala (me falta espacio, ahora tengo que subir las Polk a la pared para tener lugar para el SMSL y el preamp que vendrá y entonces conectar el sub activo con el largo de cables suficiente para ello).En resumen, son un gran, GRAN, equipo. Eso sí, yo pagué el MSRP y no pagaría más que eso ya que a los precios que las he visto anunciadas, sin duda comprarían algo de gama más alta en pasivas o incluso de buena gama en activas, según lo que necesiten.

デスクトップ環境のスピーカーをMXT20に買い替えました。オーディオメインの用途ではないレビューになります。最近アクティブスピーカー市場で流行りの傾向である｢モニターサウンド｣という言葉をよく目にするため、このシリーズもMonitor XTという名前からしてモニターライクな音を連想させますが、これは｢手頃な価格で良い音を｣というPOLKの伝統的なMonitorシリーズという意味の名称になっています。当製品をモニタースピーカーと呼称してレビューしておられる方もいましたので注意が必要です。MXT20は音の解像度はそこまで高くなく、柔らかな温かい音です。高域が前に出てくる鋭さがなく良い意味で音がバラけるので、このサイズのスピーカーを近距離で鳴らしても自分の周りが音に包まれているような感覚になり心地良さを感じます。聞き疲れもしません。シアター構成のサラウンドでMXT15を採用しているため、両者を聞き比べましたが小音量でもMXT15よりMXT20の方が良い音が出ます。MXT20に決めるにあたり、このサイズが許す環境なら上位のReserve R100も検討しましたが、上位モデルたちは精密で明瞭ですが、価格なりの本領を発揮するにはある程度の距離をとった方が扱いやすいです。対してMXT20は音が広がりやすい傾向があり、このサイズでありながらPCデスク用途という超ニアフィールドの使用にも向くという上位シリーズにはない利点があります。これがMonitor XTが入門用という立ち位置のおかげで、距離にとらわれない設置のしやすさにも繋がっているように感じます。デスク上でのニアフィールド対策として、写真の通りスタンドで底上げし本体を上下反転しています。この設置が不安なくできる筐体なのも嬉しい点です。何を鳴らしてもある程度の良い音ですが、やはり音楽をじっくり聴きたい時は写真の端にかすかに映っているNS-F500を使うほどには差は感じます。完全3wayのフロア型と比べるのは酷ですが。R100と比べてもほぼ全ての音楽ジャンルで上を行かれますが、メタルやロック、EDMはMXT20の方が合っていました。私の用途は上記の曲調と似た傾向になる動画やゲーム、youtubeなどのPCの日常使いがメインで、作業用にジャズを流すのでMXT20の前に出てくる明るい特性がマッチしています。日常使いのアンプはZA3を使用します。このアンプのクリアな特性にR100などのピュアオーディオスピーカーを組み合わせてPCで質の悪い圧縮音源をメインにした場合、解像度の長所が逆に音の悪さを暴いてしまう聴き辛さになる懸念もありました。オーディオ用途が多いパッシブスピーカーをPC使用目的にした場合、MXT20の””音の緩さ””はたぶん正解で、しかもこのサイズのスピーカーをデスクで鳴らせる事でPCで遊ぶ時間がリッチになり、音は大事だと再認識しました。なら高度なDSP補正のあるアクティブスピーカーでいいのでは？とも思います。確かに中高域の明瞭さは負けるかもしれません。しかしほとんどのアクティブスピーカーはサブウーファーを追加して完成するシステムで、私はサブウーファーが苦手で気が付くと使わなくなっていました。日常使いでサブの低周波はかすかでも疲れる、でも気持ちの良い低域は欲しい人にもMXT20はいいかもしれません。MXT20は非常に評価が高いですが、価格的にも高望みは厳禁です。しかし価格も性能であり、なおかつこの音なら全てを黙らせる納得感はあります。長く付き合っていけるスピーカーだと感じました。

Fantastic Monitoring speakers at a fair price.I am very surprised by the high definition / resolution sound these speakers deliver.Highs, mids and bass are exellenty balanced (thousand times better than any Presonus or M-Audio I have owned) and therefore extremely well suited for pro music production.These speakers are really heavy and checks all the boxes for flawless superior quality.I am very happy with this purchase and can whole heartedly recommend these speakers to music producers and audiophiles alike.If you are serious about high quality pro sound monitoring speakers then this is absolutely a must have for you.

Ces enceintes se classent haut dans la prestigieuse gamme Polk. Dotées d'énormes woofers de 6,5 inch, elles reproduisent un son chaud, équilibrés et exceptionnellement détaillé, tant dans les basses profondes que dans les hautes fréquences très détaillées. Contrairement à ce que j'ai parfois plus lire, elles se laissent facilement piloter, même avec un ampli peu puissant. Bien meilleures que mes Eltax par exemple. De loin le meilleur choix pour un prix abordable.
