The Hydroponic City 1.5 Grodan Rockwool Cubes for Seed Starter (98 Hydroponic Plugs) + Stakes

These are not what I would call 1 inch. At best 5/8 . Sure I can return them but the postage to send them back to California from Canada is crazy and negates any refund. Disappointing that the description is misleading. They are not worth the money I paid.

Love these things! I have a Gardyn system and I do not want to purchase their replacement cubes. Way too expensive so I use these and they work exactly the same! Rooting seems to be perfect and the blocks are durable enough to cut with a knife while still allowing germination!

I've purchased 3 times already for my hydro set up. No issues whatsoever with sprouting. They are 1 inch cubes though, which is smaller than the standard 1.5 inch cubes! Some comments complain about the size, but I actually like to use 1 inch cubes for small crops like lettuce and pak choy.

This stuff is AMAZING. I usually use moss to propagate my plants, I recently started using rock wool and the root growth rate is exponential in comparison to the other methods I have been using. Using rock wool does require me to water more often but I don’t really mind that because It’s worth it. After my cuttings root, all I do is water it with diluted fertilizer to feed it and once the roots are large enough I can transfer directly into soil. Definitely recommend.

The cubes were easy to use and gave me good results. I was scared to try them at first after seeing stuff online about rockwool cubes getting moldy because they were too wet, but after trying them myself I would prefer these cubes over the peat moss plugs. They’re sturdier than the plugs, they don’t crumble/rip as easily, and they’re easier to handle.
